    no walk over

watford cant be accused of not giving it a go

but the balls in our court . unlike watfords last visit they have no target now, yes relegated teams are free from pressure , but our desire to stay up , with 30000 pumping up the volume should see us through

Id take 1-0 with an el karkouri style twice defelected shot, an own goal , or one similar to west hams winner at blackburn , that never actually goes in , a russin linesman could be a help

We never get things like that. :rolleyes

Watford will be no pushovers. They seem to do well at Bramall Lane, and even though they're relegated, I still think they will put up a fight.

A Blades win and a Charlton loss will see us through I reckon.

We're definitely a better side than Watford, but they have an exceptional record here in recent years, especially after we've beat them at their place, so I'm a bit wary.

Another thing that worries me is that they have nothing to play for, so they can relax and play attacking football all game.

Saying that, I'm confident we can win because against teams around us at home this season we have got the job done.

I'll go for 2-1 United, with Stead continuing his good goalscoring form.

Looks like it will be a sell out too

Let's not lower our expectations. We should expect a walkover. Our players are playing to be part of next season's premier League. What bigger incentive do they need? Personally I expect a win as should every other Blade.

    change clubs to suit

weve not beaten watford at home since watford won their first ever victory at bramall lane in 2001
blades hold a big advantage overall in fixtures between the 2 and nearly out score them 2-1

this is our first ever meeting in the top flight at bramall lane

Yikes, can't believe that 3-0 in 1999 was the last home victory.

I remember noticing in the program at that game that the head to heads said they had never beaten us at Bramall lane. And we haven't beaten them there since.:(

Get in there. Awful game to watch, but I don't care!

Our win, Leeds going down in disgraceful fashion, and Wednesday messing up their play off push completes the ultimate weekend. :D

Awful game, very scrappy, but never mind three points wrapped up. Noticed that Shittu took a card meant for Carlisle that would've been his second and therefore off!!

One thing that struck me today though was the lack of play between the two front men. Maybe it's because both seemed to be playing towards the wing & this left a huge gaping hole in central attack.

Did we make any effort or looked like a side doomed and on holiday?

I thought Watford played well, Super Horns. You certainly didn't look a relegated side, Foster even came up for a Watford corner in the last minute!

My heart was in my mouth when Marlon King hit the bar!

Carlisle and Shittu mix-up which should have in the former getting sent off I heard?

Also Henderson could have gone for us...

Probably a good thing you won then other I could see Warnock going mad!

Think it's probably just people being courteous.

It's hard to dislike Watford, they are a particularly un-offensive club, i like them, i like their manager and their fans, but the way they play is bloody horrible.

Hope they bounce straight back anyway and we'll see em here in 2 years time:thumb

It is true we play poor football which needs to be changed if the side what to move on and become better but Aidy is a good motivator and always likes to be positive.

I guess we are not a big club who have had massive support or money so no-one really cares about us whereas everyone is laughing at Leeds and would at West Ham if they went down because of the past history and big egos.

Watford did as I expected and tried to ruin the game. We are a physical side, but they were just dirty. Kicked lumps out of our players, which was dissappointing to see, but we came out of the game with a win so that's all that mattered really.

I thought it was Carlisle who did the elbow at first, but once I saw the ref book Shittu I assumed I'd got it mixed up

I'd still say we still need a point to be totally safe, but I'm the most confident I've been about staying up, it would take a right royal f*ck up for us not to do it now.

I went for a meal last night in Nando's on West Street and saw Montgomery, Jagielka, Morgan, Hulse, S.Quinn, Nade and Stead in there, who all said hello to me!! So my day got better! :p

watford played gamely , their direct approach lacks finnesse , the tension stopped us playing like we can , so watford appeared more dangerous than they are, if so much hadnt been at stake wed have won at a canter.
but you play to your strengths and watfords is all out aerial attack

    marlon kings always a threat
but for a bit of mistaken identity it could have been a lot easier
