Should we have prioritised a CB signing over Thiago?

You should have gone for Thiago Silva - free transfer for a world class player. Only issue was he had his heart set on Chelsea Football Club so it was never going to happen.

  2. why would we want an overpaid, slow as hell, inferior, decrepit player like that when we can get a real world class player like ben davies :)

Liverpool have no time for players who have their hearts set on finishing 6th.

Who knows whether Davies will be any good. Lawrenson was slagging him off but it's certainly not unheard of for unfashionable players to make the grade. If he is getting tips from VVD and getting plenty of game time you never know. But yes - Thiago Silva would have been the ideal signing.

It's a long season - and we've got Tommy Tickle now.

  7. god only knows but i'm sure Johhny will be saying he's the bestest second best LCB in the world.

Lawro should know something as he pretends to know about preston anyway. I certainly have absolutely no clue about the lad.

I do know however that Last summer thiago silva would have been utterly pointless. He's be 5th choice behind Phillips and his ego couldn't cope. :)

What’s commonly known in the trade as ‘a ringing endorsement’.

Thiago was surely brought in to control games like the Real Madrid at Anfield. He never even started that match - says a lot. Does Klopp even trust him?

He's been average at best in his outings. Not blessed with any great pace. over commits to tackles, gets in early card trouble too often. This just my opinion.

He is a useful player, in a harder working side (Bayern), but he's not been able to pull Liverpool through a poor season. For me, the difference between good and great.

If I compare the impact Fernandez has had on United, well its rather night and day.
