No it's not, because in reality, it is still possible for us to go down.

I didn't say we were going to lose, I'm just worried about the game because of our injury problems.

I find 1-0 defeats to Man City at home, and 2-1 against Reading at home, as equally shit results to the 2 victories you mentioned.

I don't think it has ended our season, I fully expected it, I just don't think we are far enough away from safet to say we are staying up.

until its mathmatecally possible its wise not be over confident , but to start stating were grasping relegation from the jaws of safety on the back of 1 result borders on manic depression

the 2 results you posted reading have surprised a few , and as Im aware have won on their last 4 visits here , so was hardly a surprise

the man city one happens occasionally , they scored with their only shot at goal, thats happened once, I bet every team from arsenal down has lost a game like that

I find it hard to accept that we can be so good in our last home game , beat spurs fair n square , out play them and everyone goes relegation crazy because we lose to the team with the best home record

if we lose 4 or 5 on the trot , Ill panic then , but we havent so far
and everyones saying charlton could catch us

, theyve lost 2 out of 3 this month like us , but had 2 home and 1 away , weve had 2 away and 1 home

well another game gone by ,was 10, only 9 left now
thats a full 10% less likely to get caught

charlton were woeful in the first half v watford
we drew with a top six club , could /should have won

Sheffield United will NOT be relegated this season.

Now just enjoy the rest of the season and stop worrying. ;)

It's hard to stay positive when the manager keeps playing 8 defenders every game though isn't it?

Wigan are shocking, and everyone expects us to win, and we've made a mess of a couple of games like this this season, Man City at home springs to mind straight away, so to be honest I'm shitting myself.

I couldn't believe that the people at MOTD couldn't work out that Wigan winning means they stay up regardless of what happens elsewhere. If they win, they're on 38, as are you. You have the better goal difference by 1 so any win means this switches round. And yet Adrian Chiles informed us that Wigan would "need to win to stand any chance of staying up" as if they had to rely on others!

I know what you mean about warnock he pisses me off too with his away tactics they are absolutely Abysmal and he constantly tinkers with the side which is stupid because we can't get a settled side.

Warnock is his own worst Enemy at times as well what does he expect us to get out of games playing 2 defensive midfielders in monty and jags where is alan quinn or s quinn for an Attacking option that we need.

His tactics are all wrong at the moment i just hope he pulls something out of the bag on sunday.:angryfire

    my team would be

    paddy

    Geary---morgan---jagielka---Armstrong

    Keith---Tonge--- A quinn---CKR

    Nade---Shelton

Subs webber s quinn kilgallon davis stead

My team for Saturday would be as follows...

    GK: Kenny
    RB: Geary
    CB: Morgan
    CB: Jagielka
    LB: Armstrong
    RM: Kazim-Richards
    CM: Alan Quinn
CM: Motgomery - If he's fit
    LM: Tonge
    ST: Nade
    ST: Stead

Gillespie hasn't played well for a while so I wouldn't play him, and Shelton since the Man U game hasn't looked up to scratch and I would say he needs a pre-season with us. Alan Quinn has looked decent whenever he has played this season, I never know why he doesn't get played. Jagielka has to be at the back, he's a class act at centre half but is garbage in the middle of the park.

I think I'd go with the above team too. If Jagielka plays in midfield I'm going to cry. :(

Just to put everybody's mind at rest ..

We've never been relegated when the year ends in a 7!

Additionally in the years we've been relegated the kit was wrong! ..

In 78/79 the club crest was in the middle of the home shirt, 80/81 was the year we had the 'embassy number 1' home strip with the broad central red stripe, 87/88 was the 'pinstripe' kit, and 93/94 was white shorts.

Oh and we've never lost a home game played on the 12th May

    We're safe!
