As long as it's not to our detriment I hope you do win something, the side you've had over the last 5 years or so deserves something to show for their performances.
Am loving this thread for the Celery comments but it wouldn't be right not passing on compliments to Son also, what a player and signing he has been for the Spurs in the last half decade plus. I hope he wins a trophy or two now. Sent from my moto e6 play using Tapatalk
It's been said a lot that Son is a more useful player than Kane and, I have noticed he's better without Kane. For me, when Kane has been injured it frees up the others to score and notably, Son. I hope he stays, build a new team around him. The Kane saga has gone on too long so sell Kane and keep Son.
118 now for Son. I'd say he's got a good chance of ending the season in the top 10 of our highest ever goalscorers. Based on the fact he's signed a new contract I think he has to really be targeting that top 5 (42 more goals) before calling it a day. He's going to surpass some fantastic players.
Cracking player, one (if not the now Aguero isnt around) of my favourite non Liverpool players in the league. Would have loved him at Liverpool, would in fact take him over Kane.
No others you remember on that list? Billy Minter? Bert Bliss? Kane, Son, Defoe, Keane and Sheringham the only ones I've really got memories of watching. Hoddle a bit before my time although obviously seen lots of clips of him play.
Jesus, go easy, Im not THAT old Hoddle was absolute class, I was actually at Anfield when we beat you 3-1 (I think) to win the league, but you took the lead with an absolute screamer by Hoddle. One of the few times I got on the pitch and saw myself on telly hahaha There you go, absolute screamer
Son is one fantastic player that goes without saying, but his charismatic personality is what I feel really shines bright on this team.

Sonny's slowly chipping away at some of our greatest ever goalscorers. I think the top 3 is probably beyond him but he should definitely be targeting Chivers as one to beat. Incidentally, Son also surpassed Defoe's European record last night. I remember the night that Defoe broke Chivers record and it feeling like quite the achievement. Weird that it's been broken so quickly since then.
He's had a pretty miserable season but Son has gone level with Defoe now - in a similar number of games. 1 - Harry Kane - 2011-Present - 273 goals in 428 appearances 2 - Jimmy Greaves - 1961-70 - 266/379 3 - Bobby Smith - 1955-64 - 208/317 4 - Martin Chivers - 1968-76 - 174/367 5 - Cliff Jones - 1958-68 - 159/378 6= Jermain Defoe - 2004-2014 - 143/363 6= Heung-Min Son - 2015-Present - 143/365 8 - George Hunt - 1930-37 - 138/198 9 - Len Duquemin - 1947-57 - 134/307 10 - Alan Gilzean - 1964-74 - 133/439 11 - Teddy Sheringham - 1992-2003 - 124/277 12 - Robbie Keane - 2002-2011 - 122/306 13 - Les Bennett - 1946-54 - 117/294 14 - Jimmy Dimmock - 1919-31 - 112/438 15 - Glenn Hoddle - 1975-87 - 110/490 16 - Bert Bliss - 1912-22 - 104/215 17= - Billy Minter - 1908-19 - 101/263 17= - Johnny Morrison - 1933-39 - 101/154 Don't think he's prolific enough to get near Bobby Smith but he'll leave the club in the top 5. Jones and Chivers the next two in his sightss.

One year older than Harry. I don't want to slander Harry too much but Son committed to his future to the club at the same time his mate wanted to go to Manchester. Signed a four year deal in 2021 and sounds like we want to extend it a further year. You can maybe question his ambition but he's shown true loyalty in a period where we've been pretty rubbish. Good to see him returning to his best after a fairly disappointing campaign last year - five goals for the season already. Top three are out of reach but hopefully he can go some way to catching up Chivers this season. He won't pass him without European football but I think he should get there before he leaves the club. Contract is due to expire in 2025 and we'll extend it to 2026. It'll be interesting to see if he stays beyond that or if we're ruthless.
