I'll start the new thread with the opening weekend fixtures, August 3rd/4th Aberdeen v Hearts Celtic v St Johnstone Hibs v St Mirren Livingston v Motherwell Ross Co v Hamilton Killie v Rangers (Sun) Alloa v Partick Arbroath v QOS Ayr v Morton Dundee Utd v Inverness Dunfermline v Dundee Airdrie v Forfar Clyde v East Fife Dumbarton v Raith Peterhead v Falkirk Stranraer v Montrose Brechin v Annan Cove v Edinburgh Elgin v Cowdenbeath Stenhousemuir v Albion Stirling v Queens Park
When are they going to move the Motherwell - Celtic game on Aug 10? No way that will be a 3pm kick off.
So, it looks like Kilmarnock will be going back to mid-lower level obscurity again after their 5 minutes in the sun.
Utter disgrace. Had a feeling they would take a backward step with Clarke gone, but this was unacceptable.
All that hard work last season wasted... And it won't help Celtic and Rangers in terms of the Scottish co-fed seeing Kille going out so early.
A lot of Killie fans had already booked flights to Belgrade for the next round, wonder if the club will reimburse them?
Well that was satisfying. As the Captain said, Celtic do the talking on the pitch not in the papers. Over to the Pre Season Cup winners tommorow. Ryan Christie outstanding, Johnstone unplayable, Hamed with a great debut, Eddy top class. Walk in the park.
Yesterday was as enjoyable a performance as I’ve seen since Rodgers first season. The energy and movement in the side was fantastic and I’m liking the fact that we are not messing around to much with the ball at the back. There seemed to be more intent on going for the jugular and it was great to see. St Johnstone were poor and the keeper was awful, but we would still have scored a few yesterday regardless. Long may it continue.
Lets not get carried away with their usual media hype. 0-0 against the third best team in Luxembourg followed by sneaking a win against a team the mighty Connahs Quay knocked out of europe, the win today courtesy of two woeful bits of defending from two corners from Kilmarnock.
They were terrible, if it wasn't for Tavenier and set plays they would struggle week in week out, zero ideas how to open up a side. They are not in our league and anyone who can watch both teams and say they are are deluded. Wathcing Aberdeen Hearts game the now anaw, boring affair tbh and Naismth making an instant impact to equalise. Hedges will be a good player this year for Aberdeen, been impressed with him.
Aberdeen 3-2 Cracking win for them. Big Cosgrove, what can you say about him, he looks like a terrible football player at times but boy can he score goals.. The new Kris Boyd of Scottish football.
Looks like they'll be continuing their pathetic behaviour of the last couple of years. They actually somehow manage to get worse. Did it last season at our place as well and now today again.
That's bad from the lads who stood on the disabled section, but there is no barrier preventing them from doing so and the roof itself was incredibly flimsy. Also there was massive queues outside which could have escalated in to a dangerous situation.
Really? It's cos there was no barrier? How about trying to actually act like normal human beings. Also on the massive queue thing. Some of them actually forced open a gate and loads of people ran inside. After the game had started you can see some of them sitting in stairways etc. The behaviour of the fans of that club is getting worse and from start to finish yesterday they were an utter embarrassment to football. So much so that even a couple of their usual press lickspittles are pointing it out. However, they should also be pointing out the conduct of some of the players, especially at the winning goal when they were jumping advertising boards etc and running into the fans. Or at least the ones who were still in the stands and not on the park. Not a single yellow card given either, but did anyone expect different as that rule mainly applies to just one club it seems
The game should have been stopped when all those fans stormed through a gate....There was no way of knowing who had tickets and who didn't, blame lies with Police on that one but Rangers really need to get a hold of their fans before someone is injured.
