Looked impressive to me so far, he wins a lot of headers and his first touch is class, just needs to get a goal to get his confidence up, but I don’t think it helps when he’s mostly being played on the right wing when he’s a left footed striker, so that’s not helping his cause. I’m sure if he was playing upfront we’ll be able to see the best of him.

yes he will not score bar loads of goals but if you watch his movement he comes right back to the half way line and links alot of play between the midfield and the strikers which i thought was daft until i saw the damage he done sometimes. One of those guys gets the hard graft done and the others bag the glory. great player wish him the best. hope burnley do well too. it's great to see when a team gets promoted to premiership that they dont punt their players to bring in about 6 average players with premiership experience. good to see big (Owen Coyle who was a very underrated player btw) keeping a team together well.

Not impressed by him myself. Seems a little bit like Paterson to me. Works hard all game long but sooner or later we need to start seeing him tuck the ball away and tbh its not really looked like happening. His shooting needs working on as more often than not it end up in row z. In all fairness to him though he's been played wider than he should be in a lot of the games.

Scored last night (that's 3 for the season don't forget) and could have had a few more, looked very impressive playing as a striker and not a right ringer. (all views from claretsmad.co.uk and a few friends of mine who went to the game - I couldn't bare it)

Scoring goals against lower league teams doesnt impress me either tbh. I went to the game too and yes he did OK but as i say lets see him cut the mustard in the premiership and i'll come back to this thread and say he proved me wrong.

I agree mate, it's a different thing all together scoring in the cup against lower league teams than it is in the Prem, hope he pulls it off, he's got a big price tag to repay (big for us anyway ) Hope he gets a few more chances upfront for his sake

His price tag is close to being bigger than his ears.

With him playing down the middle ive been impressed with him. Thought he did well away to Man City and did well on Saturday against Villa. Unlucky not to score with that curling shot.

Fletcher and Eagles seem to have a good understanding and grabbed another two goals yesterday. Shame they didnt mean much in terms of the reuslt though. No matter what even when Paterson comes back he needs to keep Fletcher down the middle instead of wasting him outwide. Getting more confident with each game aswell.

Agreed, always knew Fletcher would be big he just needed his chance down the middle and now on the right wing.
