I honestly can't believe I haven't heard more rumors circulating involving the departure of Luis Suarez. He alongside Falcao & RVP Is the one of the top strikers In the world playing for a club that not only have seen the end Of CL football In the last few years but also can't beat a team In the top half of the table even with his goals. Gerrard had a chance when he was carrying this club to join to Chelsea now Suarez Is just as important he shouldn't make the same mistake, surely any club In the world would take him. Liverpool will not get CL football once again this season this summer has to be his time to move on.

I'm not trying to annoy Liverpool fans hear If we don't get CL then I'd be more than happy for Bale to go fulfill his potential even If we got CL football I wouldn't begrudge him a move to Madrid, I would love him to stay but he deserves to win trophies as does Suarez. I just can't contemplate how nobody has come In for him, Liverpool are very lucky to have him & to be fair they've done very good business In gettin Strurridge In as well who could become a top top striker imo. Put It this way If I was any of the big five let's say Barca, Madrid, Man City, Munich & Juve he'd be the first name on my list this summer. (I left out Man Utd for obvious reasons & no matter how good Suarez Is I can't see Chelsea buying another striker off Liverpool)

Maybe he likes the fact Rodgers is building us up into a very young and extremely promising side, given the talented young players we now have at the club I feel it won't be long until we're challenging for 4th place at least. Even this season we're hardly miles behind are we? And with most of our challengers (inc Spurs) for that position having to visit anfield, I'm not too worried. Looking above us, I don't see Spurs, Arsenal or Everton as anything special, all three are quite catchable and also quite beatable.

I do think he'll reassess things in the summer, but having just signed a contract expansion it'll either take a massive bid to claw him away or he'll decide to stay at a club he absolutely loves and where he is appreciated, I very much doubt he'd go to another english side put it that way, given the treatment he's had at other grounds since his arrival.

Untill there is a bid the club cannot refuse in place, or suarez himself says he wants to leave (neither of which have even nearly been mentioned) then he is our player. The link with Bayern is just laziness on behalf of the journalists, just because Luis's agent is Peps brother we are led to believe he will go to Bayern. This comes as a surprise that the journalists could find this out just a day or two after Peps announcement as the future Bayern match, it comes as even more of a surprise considering none of them even had a clue he was going to join them! The press were in a media frenzy about the possibility of Pep coming to the Pl in the summer, found out he wasnt, yet instantly know his transfer targets an entire 6months before his arrival? Lazy, lazy journalism designed to inspire ridiculous speculation to divert attention from the journalists column being filled with bullshit just so he can earn his paycheck.

However I do agree that Suarez will probably leave if we don't qualify for the CL in the summer of 2014, I would be very surprised if he left this summer, but then- I was surprised when Torres left, I do think Suarez is seeing the benefit of our footballing philosophy slowly coming into play- and that he'd stay an extra season to see how it works when it has been fully implemented.

I think all the extra baggage that comes with Suarez may deter some teams from going in for him. He's also just signed a new long term deal so if he was sold I'd imagine it would take a Torres-esque bid to see him leave.

I reckon he will stay for at least another season but if he did go this Summer, I think it could be to Bayern with Pep maybe looking to make a statement of intent.

the cold hard facts are that regardless of the progress being made in our style of play, development of youngsters and fringe players like Henderson that could have been sold but are now flourishing under Rodgers we are still down the table and unlikely to qualify for CL football next season ,
So transfer speculation about Suarez is fully expected , while I dont want suarez to leave it wouldnt bother me like the Torres transfer , Suarez would have to be worth 60 mill in the transfer market if he really wanted to leave , so quality replacements would be found

If we don't get back into the Champions league in the next couple of seasons the Suarez will go. You'd expect us to get somewhere close to the Torres fee for him though.

There probably haven't been more rumours circulating because at this time he isn't interested in leaving. If we fail to make the Champions League this (highly unlikely) or next season he'll be off, but as Mach says, it will be for a considerable amount..

Be good news for you if he did. Might deter you to take your trolling to the General Worldwide Football Discussion part of this board.

    ;)

If he does leave, it won't be at the end of this season, I think he'll give it till the end of next season, or the season after.

Hate him to go, but I dont trust the owners one bit, so it could be out of Luis hand's anyway, just like Torres

Thing is with players from abroad is that they initially have no real ties to a club. Tbf you can say that about some British born players. But if a top player like Torres or Suarez has there head turned by other clubs then it is almost inevitable that they will leave, wheras if a player like Gerrard or Carragher will find it easier to turn away from other clubs who show interest.

Same with Giggs and Scholes for us, whereas Ronaldo was always gonna go when Madrid came sniffing.

Did he really or was he told...... They knew they were getting Luis but never told him ,he became totally frustrated by the lack of partners up front with him..... Remember he told them he wanted to stay when he found out about Luis

The Torres affair wasn't that cut n dried..... He went for months with no real partner up front, then as soon as he is "on his way" ,they reveal Luis is coming, he re - tract's & they say sorry your going.

I dont belive a word the club say's, they have ****ed so many things up then lied..

Torres has said we dont know the real story, why would he lie ? Look at the way the ****ers shafted Kenny & then Rodgers, there gobshites.

The Suarez situation this summer worries me, not becuase I think he will leave but the greed of the owners

We shall see, but lets just remember how the club & the supporters have stuck by him through the continual abuse he has recieved from the media, supporters & fabrication by fellow players, the names you listed have never been through that. Luis has publicly stated how he feels about the club & supporters, of course im not saying he wont go, but there is a special bond there

IMO Rodgers is doing a great job, the team is getting stronger (especially now the owners have let me have a forward this time) ,where we finish this season & next will be a major factor, if we had Champs League football I would say it was a cert he would stay. And YES I can see us getting that under him.
