as mentioned above, one of the characters was ill for a section of one of the series, and Kerry Godliman stood in for her as champion from the previous series - BOSH

i will admit, i still havent finished the last series of the show, even though Ardal O'Hanlon was on it who is a very underrated comedian

I honestly thought I was about to die with laughing so hard at that. Mike was a gem on the show.

A bit of a slow first episode of a new series. Thought the tasks were a bit meh but there's plenty more episodes for things to pick up and these always get better as the contestants become more comfortable with each other in the studio.

Yes, last nights episode was a modern classic, especially the final task which I think would make an awesome party game

I wasn't going to watch it as I don't like him, but he's been fine so far imho.

    Agreed on both. Also,

That's the first time any contestant has scored max points in a given episode. IIRC of course but I recently rewatched all series except number 9 so I'm pretty sure about this.

Episode 9 was brilliant. One of the best ever Taskmaster episodes.

John has really grew on me throughout. His demeanour and hopelessness is a lot of fun. And Munya's confidence when he is also hopeless is a hoot. Really liked this series. Last episode today I believe.

That's this series wrapped up. IMO, this joins series 1, 2, 4, 12 and 7 as one of the best series ever. Felt like old-school Taskmaster which I loved - diverse (in thought) competitors, tasks that weren't stifling or controlled for the most part, and just a chill vibe and banter.

By the way, here's the line-up for the next series - Frankie ****ing Boyle, Ivo Graham, Jenny Enclair, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, and Mae Martin.

I cannot wait to see Frankie Boyle do this show. Love it.

I can’t imagine frankie Boyle on taskmaster (he’s my favourite comedian). I’ll believe it when I see it

i had really low hopes on this last series as i didnt know who 3 of the 5 were - but it definitely exceeded expectations!

line up for next series is good - and we also have another New Year special to watch too:

Amelia Demoldenberg, Carol Vorderman, Greg James, Sir Mo Farah and Rebecca Lucy Taylor (aka Self Esteem)

I think some of the tasks have been a bit better, and as ever I've got to know a couple of contestants that I'd never heard of. Fern Brady is someone I'll look out for in the future, John Kearns and Munya Chawawa not so much. Disappointing that
    Dara Ó Briain
won but overall I'd rate this latest (14th) series as about average but a smidgeon better than the last couple.

Just watched the New Year's Treat, and honestly, it was brilliant.

Mo Farah winning and doing a slide and the Mo-Bot is an immediate classic Taskmaster moment. Little Alex Horne must have felt so good to see Mo Farah of all people doing his trademark celebration for winning Taskmaster. Absolutely brilliant, both he and his show deserve it.

He is going to have to tone his humour back a bit I feel, but can see him being a laugh on it. Not heard of the other 4.

Really enjoyed the last season. One of my favourites in a long while. Felt the tasks were better this time and weren't as restrictive as some past ones. I really wish Alex would give up with his not repeating tasks though. I get he sometimes does similar ones with a twist, but he has backed himself into a corner with the not repeating tasks, hence why they eventually get too convoluted with half a dozen rules and moving parts.

Three episodes into series 15, all a bit quiet thus far, Frankie Boyle on his best behaviour and Jenny Eclair and the other chap are dull, largely unremarkable but the bloke who can't work out which way round a baseball cap goes on is a tad irritating and the likeable Mae Martin is a bit too timid.
