    Rules

We'll be drafting 15 player squads, no more than 3 from any club (2 gks). With a bidding budget of 200m. But the most important thing to keep track of, is how much your squad costs on the game. So you're managing two budgets: The 100m game budget & your 200m bidding budget.

Teams will be entered into a league on the official fantasy football game at the end. http://fantasy.premierleague.com/

League is called: The Premier League Draft
    Code is: 425103-110641

    Player price list: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/player-list/

This is the format we'll be using...

    Round 1: Bid for defenders
    Round 2: Draft defenders
    Round 3: Bid for midfielders
    Round 4: Draft midfielders
    Round 5: Bid for strikers
    Round 6: Draft strikers
    Round 7: Bid for goalkeepers
    Round 8: Open Draft
then this format til the end...
    Round 9: Open bids
    Round 10: Open draft

    Bidding

Highest bidder wins. If two or more managers bid the same amount for the same player the manager with the most money left in their game budget acquires their target. If there's no single cheapest squad then no one gets the player & they're available in the draft round. In the first bidding round only, there'll be rebids as no one will have spent anything. If a player is in the game you can bid for them, if not you can't. So it's not enough for a team to have signed them, they need to be in the game so we can ascertain their value.

    Draft round

The bid for the lowest value player picks first in the draft rounds. Draws are decided by who has spent the least in the game budget going first. Then it goes to bidding budget. If bids & squad costs are deadlocked the order will be decided by a randomizer.

    Keep track of your budget

If at the end of the game you're over your game budget you'll have to organize trades with other managers to get within it. If you fail to organize trades then the manager who has spent the least will get to trade any player from you they like. If there's more than one manager over budget then the manager with the least expensive squad can pick who they want to trade with. Then the manager with the 2nd least expensive squad will get to pick who they want to trade from the remaining teams & so on. If you're over your bidding budget you'll have to wait until everyone has picked their squads to make your picks. If more than one is over we'll use the bidding/draft format again.

One more round after the transfer window closes

After the transfer window closes there will be one draft round where managers have the opportunity to replace any member of their team with a player brought into the Premiership after the draft (as long as they can afford them). The order will be least points first, ties decided by team value.

    Play the game as normal

Once you've drafted your team the only restriction is on transfers. So you can choose anyone as captain from week to week or pick anyone in your squad to play.

    borobob points deduction

    Noble has scored 11 points.

Nolan has scored 2 but hasn't played last 2 weeks so his 1st sub is Zaha who has scored 4 points last 2 weeks.

So at end of season he needs 5 points deducting.

    Trades

    • You can agree a trade with someone at any time via PM or you can use this thread to try & attract offers.
    • All trades must be declared in this thread but will only go through after they've been deemed fair (so no Pele for Carlton Palmer trades).
    • Only trades with other players are allowed, no swapping players with the game.

Look's great - post the link in the Market Draft thread. I think a few others were interested about a Premier League draft.

How is the bid round going to work, when on the game the players have a set price?

    Definitely in though.

A couple of suggestions. Simply putting these out there to get opinions. Won't be offended if they get shot down!

    1. To get around potential budget issues, how about we don't actually create a team on the website, just use the players scores to manually work out a team score each week (I'd be happy to help with this count up).

    2. Would there be any transfers in the season? I'd suggest something like 5 across the whole season, literally to cover you for any major injuries / players leaving in January. Any more transfers would begin taking away from the whole point of the draft.

Ok lads this is starting on Monday so we can get it done in time for the new season. Familiarize yourselves with the rules. Let me know if you see anything you think can be improved because they're not changing after it starts.
