Still limited capacity crowds, so it's up to the club in question as far as I know. Obviously the allocation they get in most cases, they will want to give to their season ticket holders and own supporters etc. Will change from Monday onwards when full capacity crowds return
A huge fixture for us tonight, the return of Champions League football to Ibrox for the first time in 10 years, to guarantee group stage football in Europe for the year and give us a crack at making it Champions League group stage football. On the back of two really poor results and performances for the first time in a year, with a full capacity Ibrox crowd for the first time in 18 months. All the magic of a European night at Ibrox will be needed this evening, come on the Famous!
Good luck today against Malmo. Winner of this tie is playing next week against the winner of Olympiacos/Ludogerets in the Playoffs, I've just seen. Would be great to see Rangers in the CL. They've done great last year in the EL. Scottish Premiership generated more Coefficient points last season than Ligue1 in UEFA's 5 years ranking. UEFA 5-year rankings edit: @Royal Blue MaLDini : I'm sure you know that HSV and Glasgow Rangers have a fan-friendship since the early 70's. But did you know that since February this year both clubs also have now an official partnership? Here's an article from the HSV website about it HSV und Glasgow Rangers schließen offizielle Vereinbarung (and here's the article in english : HSV and Rangers enter club partnership )
Yes we've been holding the coefficient together for a number of years now mate, been some fantastic runs and I just hope we can have another this year, whether in the Champions League or Europa. Huge task ahead tonight and if we were to succeed, then perhaps an even bigger one to follow. We haven't got going this season but hopefully tonight can get us underway! Regarding the official partnership, yes I saw it at the time, our club announced it all as well with a similar story on our website and social media! Fantastic to see the clubs listen to their supporters and take the natural step. It has been a marvellous friendship between two famous clubs and I really hope to see HSV finally get back to where they belong this season, surely it has to happen this time!
Disagree. We're very strong there. Hasn't looked like it in the last 3 games and 3 games is enough for people to forget things. Goldson has had a really bad start to his season, but he'll come good. Player of the season in Scotland last year imo. You enjoy it, first good one you've had in a long time and it didn't even involve your team Bitter pill to swallow tonight dropping down to the Europa League with bucket teams like yourselves, but you can't have everything. Title number 56 is the priority as you can imagine. That's where most of my energy is directed. Based on the second half performance tonight, it looks like the players may be saving theirs for the league too, admittedly.
Already talk of Rangers having to sell players to cover the lack of revenue. Had they budgeted for CL football or in a mess finances wise ?
Yes, the cards are about to fall. Could there possibly be a repeat of the real banter years with rangers going under again? You couldn't make it up
Surely just laughing at you, rather than a bite. This one must still be hurting you Yeah, genuinely awful, totally imploded, looking a bit like still in pre-season mode, ball getting stuck under Kent's feet everytime he brings it in, Goldson looking unsure what to do with a ball bouncing towards him, Borna scuffing basically every cross etc etc. I hope it's only because of a difference in fitness levels with Euro/Copa America returnees, suspensions and Covid cases but there's no excuse. I'm confident we will turn the corner, the squad has proven it's worth, but it needs to be back at it soon. We move on
