Right we now know our squad for the rest of the season after our new signings and outs in Jan window now closed.

I will say this will be our best starting eleven:

Jensen, Mears, Cort, Carlisle, Fox, Bikey, Eagles, Cork, McCann, Elliott, Fletcher

Subs: Weaver, Edgar or Duff, McDonald, Guerrero, Blake, Nimani, Nugent or Paterson

Strugglers to get in side: Penny, Eckersley, Kalvenes, Jordan, Gudjonsson, Caldwell, Alexander, Thompson

    New captain: Clarke Carlisle

Good selection and it’s what the majority of fans would go for give and take one or two. It’s such a luxury to have such a big squad to choose from, only a few seasons ago we only had 16 players and had to put kids on the bench. Anyway I’d have –

Jensen, Mears, Cort, Carlisle, Fox, Bikey, Eagles, Cork/McDonald, McCann, Elliott, Fletcher

This is my 4 – 1 – 4 – 1 formation that we usually operate. Bikey looked very impressive in the holding role and was our MOM v Chelsea so would give him another chance there. Wasn’t sure whether to choose Big Kev or Cork. I’ve heard good things about Cork but I’m also a huge fan of Big Kev so I’ll have to see him play with my own eyes before I choose. The rest is self explanatory.

Jensen, Mears, Cort, Carlisle, Fox, Eagles, Bikey, McCann, Elliott, Fletcher, Nugent

This would be my 4 – 4 – 2 formation which we sometimes use, pretty much the same as above just had to drop a centre midfielder for Nugent.

Off what ive seen of Edgar so far as a cb at old trafford and fullback at home the other night he would be in the side ahead of Carlisle for sure. Think he will replace him in the long run aswell.

Dont think Elliott warrants a starting spot right now either. People thought he had a ecent game against Chelsea, i must have been watching a different game.

    -----------------Jensen-----------------
    Mears----Cort-----------Carlise-----Fox-
    ---------------Alexander----------------
    Elliot----McCann-------Mcdonald--Eagles
    ---------------Fletcher-----------------

    Subs
    Weaver
    Edgar
    Duff
    Pato
    Cork
    Nugent
    Guerro

Nearly put edgar in over carlise but he had a good game against chelsea first one in a while. Elliot isnt playing well but dont think he can be replaced really unless mccann goes on the left.

And alexander has been brilliant thus year again think we look even worse at the back without him
