Morning ladies & gentlemen I floated this idea in FTAMR and a few people seem interested in it, so here we are. Over the space of the next few weeks/months. I will try to times whatever you have in your betting account and are willing to risk by 10. I will be doing this by offering up tips on a (almost) daily basis. The idea is to put 10% of your balance on each bet, which should slowly build us up to our goal. If nobody joins in this then it’ll be an even worse version of that weirdo who posts all his draw bets in his own thread. But if people want to join in then that’s cool. As the bets are just 10% of your budget it doesn’t matter what you start with. Obviously only start with what you can afford to lose. If only you start with a fiver and this goes well then you can always keep that money for any future betting challenges and start with a bigger budget. What Bookies to use? Sky Bet are the best option available for this, simply because they seem to have more of the bets I want to put on than any other bookies. Bet365 for example quite often don’t offer markets on Over/Under 1.5 goals. The other bonus with SkyBet is the Bet Club which if you opt in to gives you a £5 free bet every week if you wager £25. This means I can recommend a 20fold O 1.5 goal bet at the start of every week as an added bonus bet. What Leagues/Bets are you focusing on? There isn’t a league I won’t bet on if I think there’s value, but there are some leagues that I’ve found myself drifting too more often than the others. These include; regional Australian leagues, the Kenyan league, Japanese top flight, a lot of the Arab/Gulf countries (UAE, Qatar etc), Denmark, Bolivia, Holland & Iran. This is because these leagues even seem to be extremely goal heavy, or hardly have any goals in at all. As for most common bet types, 99% of the bets will fall in to these categories; Over/Under a certain amount of goals, Both Teams To Score or team to be winning at Half Time & Full Time, or over/under a certain amount of cards or corners. Most bets will either be doubles or small accumulators, although there will be the odd single too. If there is more than one bet on a day then you put the 10% figure on both bets unless stated otherwise (or do whatever you want; I’m not your mum. Go crazy, it’s your money) Will every bet win? No. There will be the odd time I Cock up and the odd time where we just get bad luck. A recent example would be having a BTTS bet which included Watford v Arsenal the other day. The other half of the bet had already came in with Arsenal scoring so early meant it looked home and dry. Watford then have a man sent off in the first 10 minutes and the bet crumbles. I also had a game called off because the floodlights failed which would have probably won if not. As long as we can win more than we lose we’ll edge towards the target. When will you post them? I’ll either post them the night before the matches, or first thing in the morning on my way to work. There might be exceptions to this; mainly when I’m too pissed and subsequently too hungover to bother. There also will be days when I don’t think there’s a good value bet in which case I won’t try to force a bet. If you intend to follow along then you can click “Watch thread” just below the title and even select if you want email notifications. The challenge will end when either we reach the 1000% target, I’ve f*cked up to the point we’re all broke, or if I get bored and can’t be arsed anymore. Will you refund me if this loses? Hahahahahaha. Hahahahahahahahahaha. Ha. No. Today/Tomorrows Bets Bet 1: Hercules v Heerenveen BTTS YES (19:00 Dutch Eredivisie) Go Ahead Eagles v Jong PSV BTTS YES (19:00 Dutch Eerste) Both away teams have averaged over 2 goals per away game, whilst also averaging around 2 goals conceded per away game too. It’s a fairly similar story with both home teams, who score a lot but have pretty leaky defences. Double @ 0.97/1 Bet 2: FK Stechovice v Brozany BTTS & Home Win. (16:00 Czech CFL) FKC have averaged over 2 points a home game, but have conceded the second most amount of home goals in their league. Brozany average less than a point per away game, but have scored in 3 of their last 4 away games, despite losing all of them. Single @ 13/8 I’ll add a load of stats once we’ve got going, keeping track of profit and win percentage. Hopefully this goes well or I’ll be laughed out of the forum. Much love x
on Bet 365 so will attempt to follow this as best I can. For example bet 1 is fine and I have stuck my tenner on it. Bet 2 however isn't available so will have to give that a miss, (mainly because I am a lazy bastard and can't be arsed setting up another account).
I'm on William Hill and I can't for the life of me find the second bet anywhere. Just hoping bet 1 comes in!
If there’s any bets/leagues you can’t find then let me know, just means I can try my best to avoid them going forward.
Stechovice have had their keeper sent off after 15 minutes. Exactly the start you want for the challenge. Edit: 1-0 up at half time though.
Yeah, not a great start. Was really frustrating watching the updates on Skybet. Was a 5 minute spell where it was end to end with a tonne of corners and shots then it hit the hour mark and just petered out. Hopefully get a winner in the 19:00 games and break even for the day.
There’s been 68 goals in Heerenveens 15 away games this year so I’ll be f*cking fuming if this doesn’t land
@The Doc @Sgt. Serious @Sam @RedDevil19 Today’s Bets Bet 1: TSV Aubstadt v Jahn Forchheim BTTS & Home Win (15:00 German Oberliga Bayern North) Aubstadt have the best home record in their league whereas Forchheim have taken 12 points from 14 away games despite averaging 2 goals per away game. Single @ 6/5 Bet 2: Nice v Caen Under 2.5 Goals (19:00 French Ligue 1) Sepsi v Cluj Under 2.5 Goals (19:00 Romanian Liga 1) I’m way too hungover to write my reasoning behind this one. They don’t conceded many goals, okay? Double @ 1.17/1
