What is the Club Career Draft? Every manager (you) will take it in turns picking one player each in a set order.

You can choose any footballer who has played between 1989 and 2014.

Your goal is to build the best team (strong defence, midfield, attack, balance and tactics).

    RULES

Snake-draft format. No budgets, no categories and no bidding - just the classic draft order.

Multiple player versions. For example, one manager could pick Zidane (Juventus), another manager could pick Zidane (Real Madrid).

One player per football club. For example, you could not choose Shearer (Newcastle) and Ginola (Newcastle).

1989 - 2014 evalution period. Only club performances from 1988-89 to the 2013-14 season will be evaluated. The player's International football career is not to be evaluated. However, Domestic Cup and European competitions are to be included.

Full club career. An interesting twist - club legends will be valued more highly as the whole of their football career at their chosen club will be evaluated.

10 hour pick window. Each manager has 10 hours to make his pick. If he misses the deadline the following manager in the draft order can make his pick. Leave a shortlist with someone if you plan to be away for more than 10 hours. After you make your pick, PM the following manager in the draft order.

Player profile. After you make your pick, if you have time, you can add a player profile of your chosen player - the evaluation period covers 25 years, an era some experts consider a technical golden age of the beautiful game.

11 players. We are only drafting 11 players each. Once our teams are complete, we will then have ranked voting to decide the winners of each evaluation category (best team, defence, midfield, attack and balance).

Player Evaluation. As always having a balanced perspective of the following factors will help us evaluate our players:

    - longevity
    - consistency
    - ability and effectiveness
    - strength of peak season(s)
    - length of prime
    - strength of competitions/league
    - team and individual awards
    - lasting influence/legacy with club
    - lasting legacy within his position

Some players may score strongly on some factors, while some may score poorly on another. Some club legends may be strong on all accounts.

I'll join back in for this one. Much more of a fan of this style format than the bidding one.

Tbf I was insanely busy during that draft. Sorry :(

You'll regret it though, as I'll win this one.

btw Joga & I are whatsapping to communicate so we'll be as rapid as if we were playing on our own, no chuckle brothers shit.

It's ok the weird points system was still all that stopped us from officially winning. We won on the Telegraph scoring (in your face tvr, with your 100 points for defenders who conceded a truckload).

Nice to have a change for immediate redemption following the frustration of the Challenge Draft.

Can we decide the draft order over the weekend?

Need to find out when Yakubu and Guyett are back - potentially this Monday.

Looking for 15 - 18 managers, anymore is too much, looking back at how the other drafts went.

    12 so far...

    Joga bonito-Ollie
    Guyett
    prolifik
    Purple Bananaa
    Plymouth Gooner
    Telstar
    borobob
    yakubu
    Gal_P
    The Doc
    Shane
    Suffolk Punch

    Team-ups are welcome.

By the way, if anyone didn't submit votes for the Challenge Draft your place is not safe ;)

Can I join please? I always try and tell myself I have better things to do than play these draft games but that's just not true.
