RULES 1. You will draft 11 players including a keeper. 2. After your first pick, each subsequent player must have played for a club based a country which shares a political border with a country in which the previous player played. To clarify the mouthful above, an example: Diego Maradona played for clubs in Argentina, Italy, and Spain, so if you pick him first, you may use any of those countries as a starting point. If you choose Spain, you can pick a player who played for a club in Portugal, Andorra, or France (i.e. the three countries bordering Spain). You then repeat this process for all your remaining picks. Please note each link should be to your previous player, not to the player you drafted first. FYI, please note overseas territories, exclaves, etc. which can also be used to link countries, e.g. French Guiana, Kaliningrad. 3. You may not use the country to make a link more than twice. So in the example above, you could go from Maradona to Player X based in France, then go back to Spain for Player Y, but from then on you would no longer be able to use a Spanish club to make a link. 4. You are allowed one plane ticket for the duration of the draft to travel between countries not linked by a political border. 5. Where clubs were based in defunct countries, we will use the country where that city would be located in the present day. For example, Dynamo Kyiv which was previously located in the Soviet Union would be treated purely as a Ukrainian club. 6. For the purposes of this game, the constituent countries of the United Kingdom (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales) are treated as separate countries. 7. There will be a three hour pick window with an amnesty from 12-8 AM in your timezone. 8. Full career evaluation applies. Rules are a bit long but that's mainly due to explaining the concept. It's more or less a club version of the previous ones, except no ****ing lines.
