Head too far up his own arse for starters. Most arrogant man i've met. Main problem for me was his tactics far too negative home and away. If we went a goal ahead rather than cracking on trying to get another more often than not he would tell the side to sit back and it caught up with him in the end up.

Cant say i was sad to see him leave because i wasn't. Only place he was taking us was down. He was very lucky to be still there at the start of last season after winning something like 2 games out of the previous 20dd. In most cases these days he would have been sacked. Our board though give him a fair chance and the signs didnt look any better at the start of last season so he had to go.

0 wins in 17 games is what went wrong, and some of the most negative hoofball I've ever seen in my life.

Sorry totally disagree with that comment Gatti, Cotterill came to this club and with little money and seeing his star players leave or injured (Blake, Chaplow, Ade and Gray) kept us in the Championship when other small clubs like ours would have been relegated. True he probably would never have been as good as Coyle in getting us up but then if you look at our current squad of 22players, 11 were brought on by Cotterill and his team and/or signed by him.

There is a lot of bollox spoken about Cotterill and although it was right he moved on, he doesnt deserve the cheap insults some chuck at him after all he did for this club

What cheap insults would they be? Did i say he made some decent signings for us or not? As for the record it speaks for itself and how is me saying he didnt win in x number of games and still be lucky to be in a job then given time the next season an insult.

If your talking about me saying he's arrogant i will stand by that and couldnt give a toss what you say. He was taking us down with an handful of wins in what 40 games or something close. I dont need to give him credit for anything.

I met Cotterill a number of times at fans forums and didnt like him one little bit, so no im not going off somebody elses opinion on a message board or chit chat down the pub, im going off what i saw with my own eyes. He was taking us backwards if you dont see that not a lot i can do about it. Dont expect me to bow down to him though.

On Cotterills signings while he was at Burnley he made some decent ones and i've given him credit for that before loads of times in other threads. The other poster asked what happened to Cotterill and i give my opinion and will keep doing so whether you or the next man agrees or not.

..and I am in my rights to totally disagree with you and still do! As for arrogance, one of the best managers ever in this country had that,Brian Clough and because of prats calling him that he never got the England job!

Fair play that settles that then.

Do you really think Cotterill would have taken us forward had the board stood by him? Thats the biggest problem i had i dont think he was taking us anywhere and i think the results would suggest the same thing.

Are you calling me a "prat" as well for having an opinion on Cotterill as a person. For one who was supposed to be one of the best up and coming managers other sides have not been too quick to snap mr wonderful himself up have they.
