Welcome to the Good Shit Draft The aim is simple: build the best possible team from the categories given. But the categories may not always make that easy.... Categories will be revealed one round in advance. At the start of the draft I will reveal categories 1 and 2. At the start of round 2, I will reveal category 3, and so on. RULES 1. Snake-draft format 2. 6 hour pick window 3. 11 players including a goalkeeper 4. Evaluation period: FOUR YEAR PEAK If you have doubts over whether a pick is valid for any given category, PM me. Try not to ask the question in the thread to avoid undrafted players being named DRAFT ORDER: After discussion with a couple of people, the round in which you must select a striker has been removed. It could have caused too much controversy. There are now no restrictions on player position for any round
CATEGORIES 1. Has played for a team in Europe, but not in the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga or La Liga - includes any predecessors, such as the old Division 1 in England. 2. Has never played at a World Cup - the player may have been included in a country's World Cup squad, but must not have played any minutes. 3. Has been relegated at least once in their career - the player must have played minutes in the League in the season the club were relegated. The club must have been relegated through league performance and nothing else. For example, Juventus 2006 players are not eligible. 4. Must have less than 30 international caps - any player picked in Andy's draft is ineligible 5. Has played in the Premier League, but has never finished in the top 4 in the Premier League - note: Premier League in this category literally does mean Premier League (i.e. not the old Division 1). If a player finished 2nd in 1989/1990 old Division 1, he would still be eligible. Only Premier League finishes are relevant. 6. Played International football for a team outside of Europe or South America only - only 1 appearance needed to be eligible. 7. You must pick a current player, who was not picked in the Current World Draft 8. Has won no more than 2 top division domestic titles in their career. 9. Has played in La Liga but for none of the current Top 6 - Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Celta Vigo or Eibar. 10. Has played their entire club career in Europe, but never played in a major European final. 11. @Guyett @Tony_Adams when you make your picks, could you drop me a PM if I'm not around, so I know it is time to post the next category? Cheers
If it comes to me before I get home, you can skip me for the first category. Too many picks ahead of me to come up with a shortlist right now. I'll send SL my shortlist for the second category.
In bob's defence, I'm sure he's misplaced his glasses and can't find them so he wasn't able to read the non-bold print.
Can I suggest something? Just make it a peak draft. The whole four year period thing is just time taking in terms of write-ups and in all honestly doesn't add much.
Correct me if I am wrong, but we can only select for the Criteria 1 in Round 1? Can't select a player for Criteria 2 in Round 1, right?
