What is it that a team with Lewandowski can just nullify a 0-2 after 80 minutes and still win. Poor Celta, by losing they end up in the relegation zone. (Yeah still too early to matter.)

Good to see them beat city rivals Real. Álvaro Morata was Lord today.

Craziest g@ddam thing about Atletico Madrid: TransferMarkt website has the currently injured midfielder Rodrigo De Paul as their highest market value player. (Not Morata, not Griezmann, not Depay. Frigging De Paul.) 2 goals in La Liga last season, 2 so far this season. Was mediocre at best for Argentina in their Qatar World Cup run. I just don’t get it. Maybe if he was 25 or 26 not 29.

Also, Girona are moving forward with their best season in existence. Down 0-2, ended 5-2 against Almeria and they're sitting pretty on second place.

England need to build their team around Bellingham. The guy is going to be the best in the world.

Madrid will struggle to even finish Top3 if Bellingham gets injured. Nothing team.

Girona will sink like a stone after Xmas (Top 7-8 at best by May).

They're also not allowed to play in the Champions League, as far as I know, since they're owned by the City Group. Most likely, if that's the case, they'll lose some games to cash-in at the end of the season.

However, if that does not happen, Girona could go down in history as one of the best romantic stories ever. We'll just have to wait and see.

I’m probably going to jinx them but Girona are currently 2-1 ahead at Barca and could go top again.

Just looked at the table and they are well clear of 5th so Champions league at least must be a big possibility.

Watching it and they're bossing it at Barca (temporary) ground. No matter how hard Xavi trains them, Barca lack cutting edge in midfield leaving Lewandowski isolated. Defending isn't great either: on Girona's 2nd, the LB was able to run at the players well into the Barca penalty area.

    Blimey.
Slightly torn between rooting for Girona as a new winner of the league and thinking...another club in the City group?

Finished 4-2 to put them 7 points clear of Barca (only 2 ahead of Real though).

Girona will sink like a stone after Xmas, or in late winter-early spring (I've seen it already, Real Sociedad in 2003); Madrid will get the title.

I'd be glad with Barça finishing 2nd-3rd, Copa title, and Quarter/Semis of the UCL. The defense is just not good enough, and nobody bothered to buy a reliable DMF (certainly not Oriol Romeu).
