Really hard to predict this one - our recent games against them have all been dreadful to watch, usually including moments of brilliance from De Gea & getting bullied by Fellaini. Impossible to know which Liverpool side is going to turn up - we've given them far too much respect since Van Gaal has been there so it'd be nice for us to change our attitude & get at them from the start. We're due a win against them though, especially at Anfield, so I'll go for a narrow Liverpool win. 2-1
They've got the perfect style to counter us unfortunately, so I make them favourites for that reason.
Yeah, their mind numblingly dull football just counters our style, we are shite unless teams come at us. United to have one shot on target from their only meaningful attack and win 1-0. De Gea MOTM AGAIN!!! Would love to see us come out and hit them from the kick off, grab an early goal and force the game to open up. Good to have Sturridge rested and starting this one. Has a decent scoring record against them for us.
I'm hoping for two open games, but I suspect one of them will be a 0-0. Would rather see Liverpool go through and eventually win the competition. This is the kind of game you need Coutinho and Firmino to step up and create.
Hard to call this one. Liverpool are laying better, have a rest between games, and we will most likely have one eye on the City game. However, we have won every game vs Liverpool under LvG, even though we were in poor form going into most, if not all of them. I think a lot depends on if Sturridge starts. As already mentioned above, he has a great record vs United, and I can't see him having much trouble from Blind.
God knows which way this is going to go. But like already mentioned, United will have one shot and win the game, similar to the previous game we had against them.
