Welcome to the People's Choice Draft. We will be drafting 11 players from any of the following 16 Categories. Cat 1. Choose a player who has played football in all three of the English top division , Serie A and La Liga. Cat 2. Choose a player who has played football in Scotland top flight. Cat 3. Choose a player who has played with or been managed by Johan Cryuff (not including Catalonia). Cat 4. Choose a player who has won the Scottish FA Cup. Cat 5. Choose a player who scored a goal in a European Cup Final (including Champions League). Cat 6. Choose a player who has 200+ appearances in French top division. Cat 7. Choose a player who has participated in a failed WC qualification. Cat 8. Choose a player six foot four or taller according to Wikipedia (this does NOT include anyone who is six foot three and a half or any other height less than 6'4 that could be rounded up). Cat 9. Choose a player to have been in the squad of a nation at either 1 or 4 or more World Cups. Cat 10. Choose a player who represented a country different to the country he was born in. Cat 11. Choose a player to have played for Middlesbrough or Southampton. Cat 12. Choose a player who shares the same first name or surname as one of your other players. Cat 13. Choose a player that has scored in a world cup. Cat 14. Choose a player that has played in a Copa América Final (an actual final). Cat 15. Choose a player who has never had a World Cup winner as a teammate. Cat 16. Choose a player who has played in the now defunct Cup Winners Cup final. As always Penalty shoot outs do not count in a goal scored category. I am implementing this rule for Category 15. What if you research a player and later on somebody finds somebody who actually played with him who had won the World Cup? If a player fits another category you can keep him. If not then you will have to re-pick. However if it goes 2 further (I. E. 2 more picks by yourselves) rounds without being questioned you can keep him. (As a matter of fact I will implement that rule for all categories, as not all categories where mine and so if I miss something then we are saved from disaster). You can only choose from a category once. Once a category reaches 10 picks then it will be locked. During the 11th and final round of drafting all categories or unlocked. (You will not be able to choose from any category you have already chosen). Criteria - whole career. There will then be a KO tournament and a vote for best team, attack, midfield and defence. For the KO tournament once we get past the 1st round proper, you will be able to steal a player from your opposition. To avoid over complication, you may steal whomever you like regardless of category. Edit : if you get to the latter rounds and you find the only categories left unlocked are categories you have already chosen then you are a knobhead. I will then apply sanctions accordingly.
