Having bought myself a brand new E0S 550D, I thought it might be a good idea to share some of my stuff with FFers in the future. Maybe this can be a fixture with members exchanging tips and techniques. Good idea ?
Good idea. I had been noticing the 550D being advertised quite a bit recently, what sort of photo's do you like taking?
What lens(es) do you have? Just the kit lens? For my 450D i've got the kit lens and the 50mm 1.8f mkII which is an awesome lens for the price.
Always wondered why there wasn't a photography thread. I need to get back into photography, my cameras just been gathering dust for nearly a year now, so I'll try to get out sometime during the summer. It's not like I'm starved of opportunities in my home town, just lack of enthusiasm...
The kit lens and a Cannon 55 250 mm IS lens. Haven't tried it out as yet. I am still very much learning the ropes. Cannon has some workshops that I plan to attend to be able to comprehend all the jargon. Took it for a twirl today in the evening doing some basic work. Ill put it up in a bit if you like.
Cool, i'd like a lens with a bit more range but I don't think i'd get enough usage out of it to warrant spending the money unfortunately. Definitely
I saved it on a lower quality setting because my net was acting up Closeups are a bit of a bitch. I don't use the flash so the exposure is greater obviously. Hence if there is any source of slightly brighter light it ****s the picture up.
I really like the first and the fourth. Not so keen on the 2nd or 3rd to be honest. I actually did a GCSE in photography.
I use the Canon Speedlite 430 EX II, but have no experience of other flash-guns to compare it to. I can say I have had a great experience with it though - it's improved the possibilities endlessly. My kit in full: Canon 400D, 18-55 kit lens, 55-250 IS, 70-300, 50mm f/1.8, 430 EX II, plus filters etc.
Love this one What do you use for your post processing? The speedlite's are the best but as a cheap alternative i'd suggest this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Electronic-...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277191664&sr=8-1 It's got very good reviews and is £150 less than a speedlite, i'm planning to get myself one soon.
The favourites in my collection..Just taken with a bog standard digital camera. Not the best of quality but I like them all the same.
