Will be gone soon & all the threads will disappear into the ether. Might be better to sack it now & discuss Blades related stuff in the Championship forum. Likely to get a bit of banter going with other fans too if we do that.

Ive enjoyed some of the prem , but the more you get involved with it , the nasty taste it leaves outweighs the benifits , all bottom half clubs trying to eak out enjoyment from 10 or less wins in 12 months , unable to go to most away games without enough attendance points, and then needing enough to run a small african nation to buy a ticket.

stuttgart won a far more interesting league on saturday in a fantastic stadium , the big difference , their fans paid under 12 quid to get in

you can tell prem fans , they have mug tattooed on their foreheads

I think you're generalising too much with your comment about prem fans. At the end of the day it's not the fans' fault the tickets are too expensive. I detest the holier than thou attitude some supporters have with regard to the fans of the big four. It's rank hypocrisy as we'd all like our clubs to be up there challenged & you can't blame for example the Liverpool fans because some yanks have just bought their club.

Indeed if the big four, well the suits that run 'em, ever decided to go down the euro super league route then there would be a massive backlash from the fans, that would put any previous fans-supported campaign to shame.

Shame we have to lose this forum, at a quick glance i think it's got something like the 10th/11th highest number of posts of all the team forums, considering we have only had it for a season thats pretty impressive.

I agree with Escafeld though, time to take the fight to the Championship:thumb

    tell me then

why are tickets in the bundesliga a third of ours , with better facilities
    its pure greed
got to the getafe v barcelona cup semi and paid 30 euros (23 quid) for the pleasure
and saw an italian game last october for 21 quid

and the prems not 80 % better
if you lived in kent its cheaper to catch a ferry stay in a hotel watch lille in the french league and have a meal out than go and watch gillingham

You are right, but what choice do we have?

I am Salford born, I still live 10 miles from Old Trafford, United were my team in the 70's and 80's when we were sh*t, and they'll still be my team at whatever point in the future we become sh*t again.

If I renew this season then it will be one year closer to the day I walk away, no matter how much money S*y pour into the game the ticket prices go up and up, and there's only so much I'm prepared to cough up.

But as I say, what choice is there?

 That will do no good, they would just fill the seats with the "day-tripper" fans!
