Keep hoping that Vanni and the Cumbrians might make it over. In the absence of true L2 and non-league input (we just had opinions from bitter ex L1, especially entitled former Division One/Premier teams fans from Yorks/Wilts, :hiding since I've been here) I've been pottering around the non-football threads and surfing occasionally to pick up the vibe.

I've been here longer than I have the other site, when I first joined there was a thriving lower league section. A lot have since been banned or their clubs have gone up the divisions.

It's a bit of a vicious cycle really. We had a similar situation around 12 months ago when the other place went down and a few new faces appeared for a week, posted a few times and then disappeared back to the other place. The reality is that the lower league forums on here are not going to go from how they are now to as active as the other place overnight - we really need you new faces to stick it out, be as active as possible and give other people a reason to come across.

I'm pretty sure the same was said back then as well but the L2 forum (not sure on the others) doesn't look appealing because it is literally all the Prediction League or the Survivor game threads and not anything that people can discuss/debate. Although I can see why it exists, I genuinely think the L2 chat thread needs to be put to bed because it appears that anything L2 related just gets added to that which makes the forum look even more inactive than it is. I'm not as active down here since Notts County went down (I wasn't here to laugh at them....honest) but I'll happily come up with some random threads to try and get things going. In the mean-time throw ideas our way on how you lot think it can be made more active - otherwise we just head back into the same cycle

Tried to get a concerted effort during the long downtime a while ago, might have been last season actually, too many of them set in their ways posting on there even with downtime to even try this place unfortunately.

Shame because if the lower league posters activity is the only reason to post on the other one anymore

To entice more posters across maybe you should stick a huge ad on here that covers around 70% of the screen making the site virtually inaccessible which would make us all feel like we were still posting on the other site.

I started this thread in an attempt to get the ball rolling, and I'll be doing a similar one for next week. If someone else can do the same it should pick up over here.

We tried that but unfortunately the owner of the other site now owns all advertising space on the world wide web and we were unable to strike a deal with him :D

Typical derby game no real quality in first half and first team to score was always going to win it. Thankfully it was us with two well taken headers.

Their fans didn’t seem too keen on us celebrating in front of them either yet they didn’t seem to mind when Van Veen did it here.
    Haha.

Honeymoon period over for our caretaker boss, doesn't disappoint me to be honest, though he'll still linger around whoever the new boss is to inflict the same guff he has on the previous three regimes.

That is an unexpected result for Swindon given fgr's recent dismal record. Their game in hand should see them get back top, but Crewe looking more and more like a top 3 finish. Its still a choice of Vale, Col U, Northampton or Bradford for those last 2 play-off places.

At the other end, Mansfield can probably relax after a good win, but Stevenage are probably relying on a Macc or Oldham points deduction now.

If you ignore they got thumped by Northampton and Plymouth, but we live in the era of fake news.
Season over. Up to the owner where we go next year.

Yep there’s a whole different mindset around the club with him in charge, we were on a really good run before the Northampton game but then he made a lot of changes for the next 2 games to try and have a look at everyone to see who he wants to keep for next season and so we ended up losing both 3-0. The improvement from before he was here to now is massive though and with the Summer to recruit his own players plus the increased budget that he’s being given next season I’m expecting us to be right up there.

Only 4 teams in the EFL scored more goals than us since New Year. Prior to him coming we scored about 3 goals in 11 league games!

Whatever the result it's good to watch
