They were depressing me in League 2.

70 years ago today, the last English manager to win the league was born. The legend Sgt Wilko :thumb

A winning team? Where the f*ck did you hear that? They'd failed to qualify for the previous FIVE tournaments! Wilko got the job and they qualifed with two games to spare.

I'm all for hearing a differing opinion but that's just bollocks my friend.

A winning team - that's what I said. They were a winning team because they'd won every one of their qualifying games BEFORE Sergeant Wilko jumped in and tried to snatch the glory. That's FIVE games in a row and without conceding a goal at that. Peter Taylor was responsible for them qualifying.

Arsehole persuaded his mates in the FA to let him takeover for the last three qualifiers from a winning manager- a disgustingly sick act of a self-serving total and utter ****** by somehow persuading them to think that he could do something that Taylor couldn't do.

He did - he lost a qualifier.

So get your facts right lad.
