No idea if any of you here are trainer obsessives but seeing as it's a football forum i figured a few of you might be. Personally i've been collecting for a fair old while and have somewhere in the region of 18 pairs of Adidas, some Diadora and a couple of pairs of Walsh. I'm normally a three stripes man to be honest and have even stopped getting the general releases these days as i'm a bit of a ponce/snob. Got the Adidas Spezial Kirkdales through the other day, which are bloody lovely and been watching out for the release date for the New Yorks. Any others here share the obsession? Or is it lonsdale and nike air huarache territory round these parts?
I love Nike air max.. I only wear Nike air max or Adidas NEO trainers. I can't stand huaraches they are horrible.
Got about 10 pairs of Adidas trainers. I'm not a snob like you Frannie so I just go for whatever catches my eye at the time. Mostly pairs like gazelles, spezials, sambas, hamburgs etc. From people I know that have bought a fair few of the latest exclusive releases, hasn't the quality been right down? Like Tahitis for example, seen pictures of a release in May from some I know who goes watching Wigan who bought a pair from End Clothing and they were very poor. Really like my ZX Flux pair at the minute. They're literally the only pair I can wear in winter now because I don't want to ruin the suede.
My mate went to order a pair of all white huaraches off the Size? website from his phone. The page kept refreshing so he didn't think his order had gone through. Ended up with 5 pairs of them arriving. I suppose you deserve it if you buy huaraches.
The island series were of very suspect build quality to be fair, I got the samoas and Tahitis but heard about the quality issues so bought them instore at size? so I could check them first. The hamburgs have been to over done for me to be fair, I've got two pairs the og re-release and the made in Germany red leather ones (cost me a bomb but worth it). Generally one of the reasons I stick to the Gary aspen spezial range, made in Germany lines and small releases is because the quality is far, far higher. Obviously that comes at a premium but in my opinion it's worth it. Not surprised your mate had issues at End their website is flaky as f*ck. I picked up an armour lux jumper from there and it tried to charge me twice! If I can I prefer to use oi polloi
I ****ing hate the trainer obsession here in Manchester. I'll wear them, but I won't be camping outside of a shop for a pair.
Eezo knows. My trainer of choice since I was about 18, with the odd exception but always go back to them. Currently sporting these .... X massive present from last year.
I have two pairs of trainers. Both are Sketchers, with a memory foam insole. They're ridiculously comfortable, and they look pretty nice. Trainers are not really my thing for being fussy about. Running shoes, on the other hand, I am very fussy about. I have 3 pairs. a pair each for road, trail and obstacle racing. Road running: Trail running: Obstacle racing:
I don't collect trainers but do have a few pairs. These are my faves but only get worn very occasionally Adidas Kegler Super, been trying to find another pair for ages at a decent price but having no luck.
Same pair or just kegler super? Same pair will be eBay only, kegler are a fairly standard release, so one or two releases a year
My man x Tbh, I'm thinking of getting something else next year or perhaps a new pair of those and another pair or something a bit different, because they're not that durable. But they are gorgeous.
Kegler Super although I'd take a different colour. They seem to go for silly prices sadly. Mine cost me 35 quid in a sale
You'll probably find a generic colourway of kegler super in most sales for about that price online. Maybe follow sneaker deals uk on social media to find them. Brand new you're lucky to get any pair below £60 these days
My older brother started getting Air Force 1's a few years back, so I decided to get something different, I now have a few of these, they are pretty cheap too ZX750's
