There's not a wasted spot in that squad (Maybe Ox at a push). Probably the strongest XI and squad in Europe at the moment.
Even Ox has done pretty well this season, which is good to see. Obviously talented lad, just held beack by the constant injuries.
Strange but was the case earlier in the season too: Curtis Jones absence from Liverpool Champions League squad list explained Whereas Harvey Elliott wouldn't qualify as homegrown at Liverpool I don't think, not yet anyway.
Ah nice one, so he can play. The rules set by the governing body state that any player under the age of 21 that qualifies as "homegrown" doesn't need to be registered as part of the maximum 25-man squad for the tournament and can instead be included on the B list.

Just watching Liverpool U18's v Boro playing now ,its currently 6 -2 to the young reds ,Ben Doak has scored a brace and provided an assist and looks like a real f*cking player, proper Rooney vibes here and Lewis Koumas the 'son of Jason Koumas' has scored 4. Trent Doherty looks skillful and as quick as sh*t off a shovel Wait till you lads see this Doaks and Koumas though.
Also got Maynor Figueroa's kid in the U18s too. Who'd have though 2009 Wigan would be such a talent factory.
In all seriousness ,I wouldn't mind taking in a few matches of the U18's this season ,some seriously exciting young players with a big future. Doaks in particular looks like a real find ,explosive pace and real strength on the ball.
Quansah loan to Bristol Rovers ,high hopes for this lad ,so a bit of first team experience will do him no harm at all.
Phil Thompson on Doak “What do I think of Ben Doak? Oh my goodness! What a player!” raved the 69-year-old. “I have done quite a few of the youth games for LFCTV and every time I have seen him he has been outstanding. “One of the great things about Ben is that he just loves football. He has got a wonderful attitude. But he is aggressive and for a forward that is a great attribute to have. He has also got unbelievable pace, he can provide assists and he has got goals in him. “You just look at him and think: ‘Wow!’ He has had such a rapid rise to fame this season. He has played in the first team this season, which is quite astonishing. I just hope he has got a nice feel for it because he is a tremendous talent.”
LFC signed 16-year-old centre-back before leap ‘never’ seen The progress made by summer signing Amara Nallo has surprised many in his start at Liverpool, with the defender told he “doesn’t play like a 16-year-old.” Liverpool made three smart moves to bolster their academy ranks over the summer, with Nallo arriving from West Ham, Trey Nyoni signed from Leicester and Harvey Owen joining from Wolves. Those clubs’ loss is widely considered the Reds’ gain, as their attempts to coax the best young British talents to Merseyside pays off. Nyoni has already captured the headlines for his start to life with Liverpool U18s, with four goals and three assists in five games for the midfielder. But Nallo’s rise has arguably been even more impressive, with the 16-year-old starting each of the last four games for Liverpool U21s. Tall, strong and composed on the ball, the left-sided centre-back has impressed in those meetings with youth sides from Monaco, Crystal Palace and Benfica, as well as League Two outfit Blackpool. Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Benfica saw Nallo start alongside Jarell Quansah, with U21s coach Barry Lewtas reflecting on his form after the game. “Amara was excellent,” Lewtas told the club’s official website.“Him and Carter Pinnington have been playing quite regularly for us so far together. “Listen, he is just 16, and I don’t think we’ve ever asked a lad that young to play at centre-back against senior opposition. Just 16 and already playing for the U21's is a good start to the lads Liverpool career.
