Why am I weirdly happy for Moyes? Gonna go rinse my eyeballs with bleach.

It did feel like something was awry.

Too massive for the podium. Needed the open field.

Well done to West Ham and Moyes.

    Very impressive.

What a time and way to win it too .

Shame a few idiot fans spoilt the evening to some extent for the majority.

Tonight has made me realize why I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this competition even though I was very skeptical of it when it was first announced

You’ve got big clubs who have loads of history competing for their first silverware in years. But the best part is that most of the clubs in the conference league aren’t oil money, they’re not owned by Sheikh’s, it feels like an authentic European competition and I really think that’s something to be admired in the modern game

Won't lie seeing Mourinho in tears after winning it last season was brilliant PR for him, and the competition.

Now they have Moyes doing a 100M sprint down the touchline. UEFA press team will be partying tonight too.

Congrats @Jonny Ninja and @Tshabs, Congrats to all other West Ham Fans here in the forum, too (if I missed some ;))

Winning an European Competition is always special, no matter what competition it is. Celebrate it. West Ham United had to wait a very long time for another european trophy, the last one in 1965 I just ended shitting in my pampers (at least I hope so :D).
HSV's last European trophy is just 40 years ago, doesn't look like I'll celebrate another one in my lifetime.
    Enjoy your clubs success

edit: Wait, isn't your club now "London's finest"? The only London based top club who won a trophy this season?

You could also add that Danny Ings has more winners medals than Harry Kane has .

Well done West Ham , lived & worked in Forest Gate in mid 90's Hammers country & always seemed a decent bunch .

I've been trying to put my finger on why I've been enjoying a competition so much that I would normally decry as a Mickey Mouse tournament cynically conceived to get even more football on TV and even more TV money rolling in. And this is it.

The main tournaments and leagues have been spoiled by oil money/TV money over the last decade or so which has led to predictable leagues and the oil teams dominating the Champions League. Man City dominating the Premier League, PSG dominating Ligue Un, Bayern the Bundesliga, Juventus won Serie A for about 10 years in a row until recently etc. Famous clubs who used to be competitive with great players have fallen away with no chance of winning their main competitions and the same few teams are competing for titles and trophies every season.

The Conference League feels a bit more organic and genuinely competitive. The oil teams are stripped away and anyone has a chance of winning with good management and recruitment. You get teams like Roma who make you think of the likes of Totti, Fiorentina who remind you of Batistuta and Rui Costa. Big clubs who have fallen away in the modern era but still have big fan bases and loads of history and prestige who can compete together in a competition they actually stand a chance of winning. I feel like it's filled the void left by the demise of the Cup Winner's Cup 20 odd years ago. And you can see the reaction from the winning managers that winning this competition really means something to them.

Congrats West Ham. I'm a mixture of happy for you as well as jealous. Can only imagine what an away day last night was!

Also means we go out of the league cup first round instead of the 2nd.

Mental scenes with West Ham supporters going nuts when Bowen scored the winner. Love watching fans going crackers when their team scores a goal.

BT commentator said at the end it was West Ham's first major trophy in 58 something years. Er I take it that winning the FA Cup in 1980 doesn't count.
