And WS couldn't have been lying, could he? Also, neighbour role quite clearly states that there is a chance one neighbour is scum, not two. That was a big thing for me. I'm sure all those above would've had the game won three days ago. Wp.
Yeah. One post from 1700+. We had agreed to settle for WS/Josh and WS drops a vote on Eezo. I should've told him to unvote last night but neglected to do so. Live and learn.
You know, it's alot easier in the dead thread when you know who the scum are... but WS or Josh should have been the lynch as soon as it became clear that one of them was lying, town were guaranteed to find scum in one of them. Neither one of WS or Josh were even investigated though! Game losing decision to turn away from those two completely. I wasn't sure of why exactly Josh was cleared just because he was a neighbour? Nowhere did it say that it was unlikely that two mafia were neighbours. Actually it said this in the role explanation for neighbour... 'Neighbor is seen as an excuse to mix scum Neighbors where they would have been called bastard for doing so with a Masonry' I personally brought up two or three times that Guyett mod confirmed The Doc as a VT with his post that followed up The Docs post about a 2nd PM yet that PM was used as a reason to lynch him! This was favoured ahead of the WS/Josh situation let's not forget. AJ, the Hitman & I were watching it all in amazement. P.S Easty you owe me man. Bulletproof Day Vig Cop. What a role!
None of us are saving that we'd have had it won three days ago. You were faultless to a point, absolutely faultless. I expect that bit about one Neighbour being scum is written as if there are two Neighbours, eg one could be scum. With three Neighbours and Three factions, well whilst not a guarantee the maths does work out. To rule out three going into three was a mistake. ....and in all games there are dead threads and invariable people will add their analysis afterwards, yes its hindsighted and can be critically but we all do it.....so we should all be able to take it without going all IJY.
As I say, very fair points. I appreciate being critical and hope I'm not going IJY! I'm fuming at myself for letting the WS/Josh thing drop. Really annoyed.
Cheers! Eezo being involved at the late stage would've been a huge help. Why do people sign up and not bother? Still hasn't posted since being prodded FFS!
Ollie, this is what completely threw me: If you are one of three Neighbors, chances are reasonable that one of the other Neighbors is scum.
No where near IJY I can sense a bit of frustration building. Ultimately you know you've made a mistake (if you're anything like me you'll be kicking yourself about it for a few days!!) and having multiple people continue to point it out won't help (we've all been there!) As I said previously, with how well it was going and how it ultimately turned out, you must feel like the Green Bay Packers did Sunday IJY
Exactly this! After a perfect game I go all spaztoid in the last few minutes - certainly hard to take knowing we were so close! Cheers!
The trick is to die as soon as you've done as well as you possibly could with your role like moi. I was mad about my role at first, it seemed like a mission to get gadgets to the right people, especially with so few decent town reads day 1. Plus you've gotta choose people who will stay alive & Guyett wouldn't say what I was sending. I just blagged that you were bulletproof, didn't know for sure! I thought you were probably one shot if you were though as my other gadgets were one shot. I didn't mention that in the thread for obvious reasons!
Yeah, I was one shot but I blagged that it was permanent. F*ck you on that one mafia! If anybody had googled your role they would've know all were one shot. Did anyone pick up the 'vested interest' hint? I was quite happy with that one!
I'm still kicking myself for shooting AJ over TVR, potentially causing the town more damage than anything else. I took out the doctor that could have been a big help in the later stages, had I took my first choice in TVR, it would have allowed Easty free shot at others. Sometimes in games like this, decisiveness goes out of the window, and when you see what that decision has done, is hard to take if it's the wrong one. I think the only good thing I did was taking out Hodge Shance did occur to me but the vengeful townie stopped me. I gave Josh a break because how much I tunneled him in the last game, didn't want to come across being vindictive/vendetta, didn't want to put a LEF situation where he always dies regardless of what role he was.
Unlucky twon, well played Mafia (especially Shane who sailed through). Still think me getting lynched swung the game, when it was so obvious we should go between WS/Josh, though I will hold my hands up and say I should have pushed that more, I have a tendancy to sit back too much and thought Easty would just have seen it. By the time it all happened I was too little too late. I ****ed up on the Ollie thing, let myself get drawn into something that distracted me and other. But will take plaudits for the neigbour spot. Easty was deffo MOM up until last couple of day/nights where Shane swept in like a GIMPS XI skipper should and stole the show.
