This game will see just which direction we're going ,

Gerrard is slated to play and possibly Lallana.

Chelsea will field field a unchanged side, with the exception of Courtois returning

We could nick this with a bit of Donald Duck, 2-1

Would we see Sturridge return for this leg or will he be be closer to the end of the month?

Sturridge I think is set to miss both legs. To be quite honest, I'd rather him miss both, I wouldn't risk him in such a high profile game that could cause more harm, considering the pressure that will be lying in the game.

I think it'll be a draw 1-1. I hope that we can put a good performance in and maybe come away with a win, fingers crossed.

I'm at the back of the kop for this, should be a cracker!

I think we'll need a 2 goal cushion going into the 2nd leg to have any chance of going through. How do away goals work in the league cup?

This is a revenge game for me, Sterling to score on a Terry / Cahill slip. :)

I m going to try and get a ticket at the ground, don't fancy my chances, but you never know

First team to score wins, if Liverpool score first we'll win 2-1.. Chelsea score first we'll lose 4-0

If the aggregate scores are still level at the end of extra time the tie shall be decided by goals scored away from home counting twice. If the teams remain equal after this procedure the tie shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the Laws of Association Football.

Weather forecast says it's going to snow tonight, hopefully it doesn't affect the game.

Bigger game for LFC than Chelski, expecting them to be more up for it, 2-0 LFC.

Even if we can't get a two goal cushion, winning by 1-0 should give us a OK chance for the second round. It just leaves us getting a goal at there gaff and try stop them from scoring more than 2. If they win 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, we'd be through on away goals?

If it was 1-0 at Anfield then 1-2 at Stamford Bridge, we'd go through on away goals once extra time has been played, I think.

The away goal counts for 90 minutes I think. I'll have a look.
