Parachute payments are definitely needed for the reasons you set out, but with FFP capping spending at the same time it creates a two tier system. However, there does need to be some oversight to ensure clubs don’t live beyond their means so it’s an incredibly difficult circle to square. It’ll be hard to find a solution so long as the Premier League keeps increasing its already gigantic revenue.
They look to be on the way up. Cardiff don’t look too clever but will also have enough. Millwall and Swansea both looked a bit flaky to me, neither manager seems equipped for a relegation scrap.
Yeah we just can’t shake the habit of conceding ridiculous goals through silly defensive errors or giving the ball away in dangerous areas, it’s been a problem all season. We certainly aren’t out of the relegation scrap. I think next week is a big week for us. Two tough games (West Brom H, Boro A). If we lose both, the table won’t look pretty. On the other hand, 3 or 4 points and we’ll be in a great position going into March. Let’s see…
He made a post on his twitter about it apologising saying he didn’t see it and that as soon as he saw the footage he went to see the player to say sorry. Doesnt look great though does it.
Next week.. Least Healey cannot score. No - the sort of thing that gets picked up on when you aren't popular!
For the amount of stick I read Wagner get on here from Norwich fans he’s certainly doing a good job there.
Personally think they are slightly underachieving. But as long as they finish top 6 it's job done. Not impossible that we have Ipswich v Norwich play off semi...or perhaps final if the stars align.
A copy of when you came to us and did everything but score. The goals have been taken out the team. There was few Boro fans expecting that, unfortunately some idiot woman (probably drunk) Racially abused some Leicester fans yesterday. There’s been a bit about her on Social media so that could be interesting…
Given that Preston were favorites to win the game yesterday, we shouldn't be disappointed with a draw away from home in this one but in any game where you go two up away from home there's always a bit of disappointment. We came into this one after 6 losses on the road in a row and Preston were the in form team. Disappointing for us to concede from 2 corners once more - bit of an Achilles heel for us all season, though the first was a good finish by Brady. The second though - far too scrappy. 2nd half didn't feel like it had too much in it by the end bar a good save right at the end there weren't too many chances of note for either side and I suspect the state of the pitch had a fair bit of a part to play in that for both sides. Good finishes from Sammie and Gallagher for our goals. Still stopped the run of defeats on the road and another point to the tally.
Could do without that again tbh. If Saints get 2nd then I can’t see either of us beating Leeds over 2 legs. I’d give us marginally more chance against Saints but still. Long way to go I suppose.
