Saturday 16th Swansea City vs. Cardiff City (12:30 KO) Birmingham City vs. Watford Ipswich Town vs. Sheff Wed Middlesbrough vs. Blackburn Rovers Plymouth Argyle vs. PNE Rotherham Utd vs. Huddersfield Town Stoke City vs. Norwich City Sunderland vs. QPR West Brom vs. Bristol City Sunday 17th Leeds Utd vs. Millwall ____________________ So we are going to have very much a makeshift defence on Saturday against a resurgent QPR. I certainly can’t see us winning and are on our worst run of form since 2006 I think I read, which is 6 defeats on the spin. Added to that we still have Clarke & Roberts out injured, keeper isn’t in the best of form and we don’t have a reliable goalscorer. Woohoo! Draw at best methinks.
Blues and Watford's form over the last six games is identical, identical as in shite; W1, D1, L4 with a minus four GD. It's got a pulsating 6-4 written all over it..
Another massive game against a team who we have a good record against. Guessing weimann will be unavailable ? Asante is back so I hope we drop the idea of Wallace up top and start asante. What do Bristol fans think of Gardner hickman ?
Don't think I've ever been so chilled about a derby game. 4 wins in a row, undefeated in 5 and spring is in the air. The 'double' would be nice icing-on-the-cake though.
Chance to go top of the league here if we win by 2 or more goals! What a turnaround that would be after being about 17 points behind at one stage.
I said in the relegation thread a week or so ago that we really need to win the home game against Norwich. Didn’t expect us to beat Preston last week so if we can win on Saturday that puts us beyond the points total I was hoping to get after these 2 games. Just worries me when @KeiranShikari says “ we (Norwich) are not great away from home”. I can sense us revving the Charity Bus up now
despite being 6th overall we've dropped down to 19th on away form. considering how it was all the home fans' fault last season it's been a dramatic turnaround.
Townsend back for us after a few games out. Straight back in for reach for me. Good news that him and asante are back. Philips in training too and maja due back in training international break.
Haven't won away since we went to Stoke at the end of November (and then had won 4 away on the trot). With Boro maybe eyeing a return to the 6th spot battle this will be a very tough ask. McFadzean suspended so whether we stay with 3 central defenders will be interesting. Pears should be fit again in goal.
Carrick has changed the formation and we seem a bit more solid defensively, but it helps our last 2 opponents have been a bit toothless in front of goal. Could go either way really. Blackburn a better side than their league position imo
We have a fairly decent record at your place and for the 1st time the new manager will have had a week without a game so more time to train. It's literally been weekend/midweek the whole time to now. Hopefully that will have helped. If we can turn up and put in a performance like the Newcastle game we could get something but we need to urgently lift our game.
The unexpected win last weekend has changed this game from a 'must win' to a 'could bloody well do with winning'. A draw wouldn't be a terrible result but we absolutely have to go for the win to try and give us some daylight and reduce the pressure on upcoming six pointers. Whilst I know what you mean about the charity bus, with Norwich's league position l don't think this would count as a charity bus assistance if they do win. It'll be because they're the better team, as the league table clearly shows. The charity bus has been very active so far this year though, gifting assistance to the likes of Birmingham, Blackburn and Cardiff.
