    Congrats, Luton Town!

    Yes, best of luck.
Although Luton Town is no stranger to the top tier of English Football because they already played in the old First Division for several years, they're new to the Premier League.
Their run from the Non league to the Premier League in such a short time is nothing but remarkable. I like these stories.
It's a bit like now in the Bundesliga with Heidenheim, who played for decades in the Amateur level and climbing their way up the football pyramid and now for the first time in their history in the top tier.

It's good to see that these things still happen and you can reach the highest level. All the best, Hatters!

Blimey do we get our own page. We certainly have hit the big time then!:disco. I believe there are quite a few Luton fans on the other football forums site.
Hoping for more than one season but the money will be invested in our long term future, the new stadium and our academy, rather than doing a Forest. A few shrewd signings will be made no doubt. Going to be tough of course but an improving talented manager, unbelievable team spirit and hoping that we get enough points on the board before teams work out a plan to combat our playing style. Then who knows. Promoted teams have done well of late while bigger clubs have been in meltdown.

Not a Luton fan but they are one of my local -ish teams so good luck to them next season. But, hey, please hurry up with that new ground, the old one looks as if it might buckle under the strain.

Why would it buckle under the strain just because we are playing in a different league? The Kenny is a great old stadium which has witnessed top flight football before. But yes the club desperately needs Power Court, if nothing else to give those Luton fans who can't get tickets a chance to see their team live. I know quite a few West Ham fans who miss Upton Park. New stadiums don't always produce the best atmosphere.

Seen a pic of the work they are doing, and the stand looks like it is flying up tbf. Well played to whoever did the work on it.

Are they just rebuilding it to get up to date media facilities in, or did they add a few seats too?

The rebuild is mainly for media facilities, although seats are being put in increasing capacity by about 1k. The stand was originally a terrace before becoming a small all seater stand with about 1,5k. It's been well documented that our stadium is hemmed in by housing making any expansion impossible, hence why we've been trying to move (for about 60 years!). Building work on the new stadium in the town centre is due to begin at the end of this year.

The ground is very old skool unlike the other modern stadiums, not just the way it looks or the surrounding area but the atmosphere it generates. I'm sure it will be an experience for the younger premier league fans not to mention the players. I'm quite convinced we'll give teams a good game, cause a few shocks but also be on the end of a few drubbings. I'm old enough to remember the last time we were in the top flight. I was at Maine Road when we sent City down, the 3-3 draw at Anfield using three different keepers and a draw against United to stop them creating a record number of wins at the start of the season. Hoping for more great memories.
