Mohamed Salah saved a homeless man from being harassed by a group of yobs outside Anfield.

The incident occurred on September 28 shortly after Liverpool beat Arsenal 3-1 in the Premier League.

Salah pulled up to a petrol station in his Bentley near Anfield when he saw a group of yobs taunting a homeless man.

The Egyptian stepped in and gave the gang a ticking off, telling them that they should be careful as they could end up in the same situation.

After scaring the group off, he went to the cash machine to withdraw £100 for the man.

David Craig has been homeless for six years and has hailed Salah as a "real-life hero".

Mr Craig told The Sun : “Mo was every bit as wonderful as he is for Liverpool on the pitch.

“He heard what a group of lads were saying to me, then turned to them and said, ‘That could be you in a few years’.

“I only knew I wasn’t hallucinating when Mo incredibly handed me £100. What a complete legend.”

The incident, which was caught on CCTV, happened in an area where Mr Craig has been sleeping rough for some time.

The former labourer revealed how a couple of lads approached him to taunt him, telling him to get a job and asking why he was begging.

Just a pity the homeless guy chose to speak to The Scum, being from Liverpool and that.

  2. Mo is lucky he didn't run into some of the everton fans on here. they could have tried to kick him to bits.

anyway theres several layers of sadness in that story isn't there.
