Up in Inverness just now. Was a bit late getting to a pub to watch the game. Just squinting in the window outside saw 20 minutes gone and thought my eyes were playing up when I saw 0-4....convinced myself it must be 0-1, until I looked again. What....The....Fook
I watched the highlights and I know you were 3-0 down after 7 minutes but fans leaving? They just got there!! I'm not a Burnley fan but I would have been pretty p1ssed to see my club's fans doing that as I'm sure some on here were. Must admit that I never saw 6-1 coming but they are in a bit of a freefall at the moment and not winning home or away so maybe not that surprising. I like the club and their fans and want you to stay up. Good luck for the rest of the season.
I think its pathetic fans leaving so soon . No chance of a fightback with a side like ours but them type of fans striker me as them who are only there because we're in the premiership . Seen us get hammered loads of times down the years 6nil of Man City in one game and 5nil off Gillingham and them two were back to back home games. Stopped till the death on both. Dont want a pat on the back for doing it . Each to their own though but leaving when things done right is not for me. I supported the players but not Laws but i didn't give him abuse either, dont think it solves anything while the game is taking place. Do i want him out though, too right.
I liked Laws as a player and he seems a nice guy but how the hell did he get this job? He couldn't get Sheffield Wednesday out of the Championship bottom 3 so not sure what criteria he had to manage a Premier League Club but there you go...
Believe it or not the Burnley board took advice from an accountants firm and they said Laws gets the best results of any manager on a low budget. if that wasn't planning for life in the championship i dont know what is.
Oh wouldn't you just know it. Burnley win and no snide/ predictable comments from the Blackburn girls.
I do wish you would come over to Vital Burnley Gatti and post,on the board there too! Your thoughts on the Board and their lack of ambition mirror closely my own and I could do with some moral support !
