Crete September this year. More battlefield archaeology at Maleme and Rethymnon. Plus beach, wine and hopefully some casual shagging.

I went there in the 80s. We were told a story that the villagers in some remote mountain area weren't allowed to keep dogs as pets because they ate them when there was a shortage of food during the war. It was nice believable story until we bumped into some old fella walking his dog down a side street..

I've been quite a few times and mainly study the battlefield at Maleme as the airfield, Hill 107, the German cemetery and the Maleme/Tavronitis battlefield are all nearby. The bridge is still covered in battle damage and there are several bunkers in the area. All of it is practically on the beach yet 95% of the tourists know nothing about it. After a morning's research I grab a few cold beers and go for a swim.

Just had a read back through and saw you were going to Seville mate. How did you get on? Me and the Mrs have been a few times. Nobody seems to work there lol. All in the bars eating and drinking. Did you get to do the road trip to Cordoba, Granada etc?

Went to Sierra Nevada skiing for a week, then Canada for a month, then on a German cruiseship to the Canaries and madeira. The basket run in madeira is a must. 15e each plus getting up there and back down again via gondola or taxi so not cheap but one of those things you just have to do.

This year will be a week in UK for Christmas and then lots of small 2 or 3 day breaks to the mainland. 75% residents discount on flights so we always make the most of it. Bilbao will be on the list again for sure.

Yeah loved it. Went to both Cordoba and Granada and they were equally superb too.

I know what you mean about them not seeming to work. Just feels like everyone spends their time sat outside bars necking rioja and tapas.

Great weather too. It was sunny and about 20/21C each day. Shorts and t-shirt weather for me which got weird looks from locals still in coats and scarves.

I'm off to Dubai on 16th April, 2019 until 28th April, 2019. Me, my Bro and sousing are going. My Bro turned 40 in December, 2018 and cousin turned 21 this moth. My present to them was this holiday. We went in 2015 and I'd fully recommend it to anyone.

Miami for 7 nights in September, in hurricane season, so you gotta risk it for a chocolate biscuit.

Been to Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria in the last 14 months, so giving Lanzarote a try. Going adults only, so the average age of the clientele will probably be around 90. :eeek

Yeah it tends to be old couples in adults only hotels. But no kids so a bonus there.

    I love Fuerteventura.

I love Fuerteventura too. It has so much to offer. January’s weather was disappointing, however, but back in October :)
