We’re being linked with Jokanovic, probably a load of nonsense but I would love to see him get a chance here. He’s been a massive success at Watford and Fulham.

    Plays some neat football too.

Watching the Barcelona match last night, very disappointed with the passing again. Dwelling on the ball far too much. The culture of waiting too long, and not acting at the right time re' transfers seems to be rubbing off on the players. Can't understand why players of that standard can't pass the ball quickly and precisely. Conte has lost the plot, but the root of it is not getting the players in that he wanted.

Moses? Why can't he find a Chelsea player when he crosses? A great player, but would not get near the starting line up of the best teams.

We need a manager who can get the players passing much quicker, and we need an owner who will let the manager manage and get the right players for the job.

To be fair to Conte, he wanted Bonucci, but got Luiz. Luiz was outstanding last season, but non existent this season. Christensen is not experienced or strong enough to be a regular in that position, and should be shifted to the right side. Conte wanted Nainggolan, but got Drinkwater, and never wanted Batshuayi. Got Giroud around 18 months too late. Owners choices not the manager's, and as already said, no world class manager can succeed under those conditions.

Any top manager coming in has to insist on the final say on players in or refuse the job. It's the only way forward. Conte, one of the world's best coaches is looking a bit of an idiot, and so would Guardiola, Klopp, etc in those circumstances. It's not acceptable.

Jardim, Enrique, and Tuchel the 3 most rumored candidates to take over.

Again, I can't stress this enough, but if we continue the same way we have been behaving in the transfer market (moreso after a title win), the same cycle will happen.

Nonetheless, all signs pointing that we are heading towards a new direction. Hopefully this put's an end to playing conservative football.

I admire your optimism, but think that the club need new owners for the ridiculous cycle to end. Abramovic imo does NOT want a strong manager who takes full control of the squad the way some managers have done at other clubs. E.g. Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, etc. The moment a manager starts to take control, transfer funds are cut, and players the manager doesn't want are imposed on them. It happened with Mourhino and now Conte. The owner seems afraid of a manager taking too much control of the squad.

By the way, a genuine RIP to Ray Wilkins. An outstanding coach and person. Very genuine. Will never forget the brilliant work he did with Carlo Ancelotti, and the club would have won a second successive title in 2011 had he not been inexplicably sacked mid season. The players appeared to down tools in protest at his treatment by the club, and the season fell apart.

I'm all for an end to the conservative control of the club, and all for new owners who will let a strong, world class manager do his job.

Looks like Sarri is keen to extend another year at Napoli.

Conte could still go despite the FA cup win. For the record, I think he should stay for the next 3 years. I.e. a two year extension to his current contract. The club should act more decisively in the transfer market to back a strong manager, and sign the right players to play more attacking football. You need pace there, and Sandro has that for example. Only a mad man would ask a manager to play the way Man Utd used to play, to play the way Bayern, Barcelona and City are playing with the current squad.

Conte is not perfect. Maybe he handled Costa badly, but to be fair Costa was determine to leave and the club were lucky to keep him for his last season when we won the league. Morata is not a fighter, and as said before, he needs to be moved on to an easier league. Christensen is no Luiz, Terry or Cahill, and the club need a stronger defender there as well. Christensen should be cover for the right side of defence, not that central figure, unless the opposition is not that physical. He's not strong enough, and the Lukaku's and Pogba's of this world will go straight through him.

Good luck to England in the world cup! Loftus is looking good, and it would be nice to see him back at the club.

Antonio Conte is one step away from Chelsea: according to Premium Sport, the Italian technician is expected in these hours in London to formalize his farewell from #CFC. The announcement could maybe even arrive in the next few hours. (calciomercato.com)

The termination of contract is a contentious issue though, as #CFC wants a consentual resolution of the contract, but Conte intends to terminate it to get his termination fee for the one season that is left on the deal. (calciomercato.com)

Simon phillips - (On how far Chelsea are with appointng a new manager) “Yeah I believe the pieces of the puzzle will all start to fall into place once Conte has departed officially.”

Conte should take time out and live off his compensation if he leaves. The owner of CFC imo should be made to pay in full for treating a very good manager so badly. As said before, CFC need new owners, owners / an owner who will let the manager manage and choose the players he needs.

Latest is that Laurent Blanc is on his way and Conte tipped for Real. Conte should run a millions miles from the Real job. That's a no win situation. If Blanc is appointed, he'll be out by Christmas and the club will be hovering near the relegation zone. Abramovic needs to make a quick decision for once and sell the club to owners who will invest and empower the manager. It's a no brainer.

Sick of hearing ITK's as of now.

They know as much as we do, which is **** all.

Going to ignore all club rumors and enjoy the world cup for my own sanity.

Latest that Sarri is poised t take over. I'm enjoying the world cup as well, but this is important news.. It's clear that the fans and the squad support Conte. The owner should not be allowed by true fans to 1. Refuse to invest in the future of the club, and 2. Constantly undermine world class managers, making them look like idiots.

True fans should make their feelings own and demand new owners. Abramovich has to leave. True fans, stand up for the club and demand change.
