I'm just watching the first of the Women's FA Cup semi-finals, and it's been an entertaining game. Man Utd are clearly the better team, but Brighton making a right good go of it and continue to attack when they get a chance even though they've nabbed an equaliser
Nice to see the United Women reach the first Women's FA Cup final in the club's history, decent game and a cracking goal to win it by the odd one in five.
It was a good winner, bit harsh on Brighton who battled hard but the gulf was clear for most of the game and Utd deserved the win. Good crowd in attendance as well which was good to see
The Women's FA Cup Final is a total sell-out with over 80,000 tickets sold. HT United totally dominated but failed to score, hopefully they won't regret it in the 2nd half. EDIT# World Record crowd for a women's game of 77,390.
World record for a domestic game anyway. It looks like a couple of Champions League ties at the Camp Nou have topped 90,000. Great to see. I know the clubs weren't particularly happy at the individual allocations but not sure Chelsea or United would have filled that from their fans only. Think the women's game still needs a general allocation to sustain these attendances.
