apparently Edwards has been putting in a few good performances lately. saw this opinion article just now.

Tottenham have a young talent who could save them £100 million

He is currently on loan at Dutch side Excelsior, where he is gaining valuable experience as a weekly starter, and has already been named in the Eredivisie team of the week.

Edwards is only 19-years-old and has time to fulfil his potential.

Rated as one of English football's brightest talents, Edwards has shone for the Three Lions at youth level.

If Tottenham can get him right, he has the potential to be every bit as good as Jadon Sancho.

First youth game I've been to for a while. First half we looked a level above Southampton who are 4th in the league and have a reputation for a great academy.

Encouraging signs. Seeing Maurizio Pochettino come off the bench got a decent reaction too

Edwards gone permanently. Playing Europa League football v Arsenal this season which has the potential to be the highlight of his Spurs career. A waste really.

I saw 50% sell on clause somewhere the other day. Not sure if that's accurate though.

Clarke gone back out on loan to QPR after half a season wasted at Leeds.

    QPR's next game? Leeds.

    Hope Clarke scores six.

Signed Alfie Devine from Wigan. Not the first time we've pinched a promising youngster from a club suffering financial difficulties.

Really surprised to see Chris Powell appointed a role in our academy.

Thought he'd done relatively well in management so seems a bit of a backwards step for him / coup for us.

Powell a huge Spurs fan though, might have had something to do with his decision.
Also, despite doing well as a manager, I reckon he know that it's unlikely he'll get a PL role. He might have done what he can as a manager, and look for new challenges. Alex Inglethorpe (now Liverpool Academy Director) made the same move when he joined our academy staff - he was considered one of the most promising managers in lower leagues with Exeter and had offer to take over MK Dons.

Know your post is a bit dated now, but Mourinho has apparently told him to come for pre season and that he will stay with us and get his opportunity coming season. Probably with Europa League in mind. His loans out have been total failures, hardly game time at all.

Birmingham interested in Clarke but we might be moving on. For what it’s worth he definitely needs another season out on loan.

As Mourinho and Karenka are close friends I expect us to pinch a few on loan from your academy.

Could be, Mourinho is more positive to loans than Pochettino was.
We've been disappointed with lack of game time for Clarke out on loan though,
might see it as viable to have him play Europa League qualification and group stage, before letting him go on loan in january.

We can now pretend John Bostock never played for us.

Dane Scarlett has become our youngest ever player tonight.

We finished 6th in Belgium's second division back then but he was head a shoulders above everyone else ability wise. Think he had nearly 20 assists that season.
