Zenden ruled out for 5-6 wks leaving Gerrard as the only fit centre-mid for tom night. I would stick Carragher in there in the holding role and play Hyypia and Agger centre-backs again? Thoughts?

Lets just hope Gerrard stays fit and produces the goods now. Agger or Carra can play the holding role but Hyypia can't play two games a week.
We'd be better off with 10 men than playing Zenden, Agger to fill the vacancy. Bring in Paletta to rotate with Sami.
Lets just hope Paletta does a better job rotating with Sami than Pellegrino did but personally I think this is a season too far for Hyypia and he just hasn't got the legs anymore. Playing for Finland again was daft aswell because he's come back from each international break f*cked. Benitez made a mistake in playing him, ahead of Agger for the derby and another time he played in Kazakstan on the Wednesday and then against Blackburn on the Saturday and was all over the place. Benitez probably thought we'd need Hyypia's aerial prowess against Everton but Andy Johnson was up-front on his own and murdered him for pace.
Its easy to aim comments at zenden ,no matter what you think of him which isn't obviously much he was the best option and only option for central midfield and now we are ****ed ,carragher hasn't played there since being a youth player and agger is a big risk simply becos of the lack of positional sense . With a bit of practise I think agger could make a go of midfield but not thrown in at the deep end like this. either way I reckon its carragher in central mid alongisde gerrard tommorrow.
