Fell over the line into the play offs ffs! I don't think Bolton have much to worry about in the semi?
Bolton's defence is sh*te , they play a too higher line so if you have pace you can exploit it , strangely enough with yesterday's game you both played similar ways against us in 1st half & with success both 2 up early doors but both ran out of steam . I thought we were playing you in semi's , it was Bolton fans who told us Shoe Scum had scored late on but of all 4 teams I make Bolton favourites , to get rid of them Pompey & Derby in the same season makes this league far even for next season & could end up being a Yorkie(thon) with yourselves , Millers , Terriers & maybe Donny in same league .
Great scenes at PP yesterday, job done, now lets build for next season, just think 2 years ago we had 5 players on the books, A great achievement to have come back from the dead, thankyou to Mr Clowes in saving our great club, thanks to Paul Warne, coaching staff the players, and the fans who was absolutely class yestetday, we turn up week after week.
Mmmm... biggest budget in the league by far despite leaving your local community 45 million out of pocket without even the slightest intention to pay it back like most other clubs pledge when they go into admin, is hardly the fairytale you make it out to be.
Think it’ll be Posh vs. Bolton in the final. I know Peterborough have yet to lose at Wembley but I think Bolton will do it this year round. Evatt has done a great job.
One thing though mate, you do know you are going to have to sack Warne, he has a great record of taking teams up to the Championship but same record in taking them back down....
Chatting with Bolton fans at end of Saturday's match & they would rather be playing Oxford & Posh fans would rather be facing Barnsley . As for Evatt , they were saying if Bolton don't go up there's a good chance he'll be sacked & of the 4 teams left they have the best infrastructure to stay in the Championship but all 4 teams need to dramatically improve defence wise . It may sound defeatist but personally I loathe the Championship , 3rd of our ground filled with away support , bottom 3 all season , smallest fan base , smallest budget , I'd rather stay here for next year , if we get rid of Bolton & Plymouth come down , Donny come up it'll be a pretty even league unless Charlton & or Reading get their sh*t together .
**** Off, u have not got a ****ing clue, we was 5 days away from going out of business, what do you know about football, in your Rugby town.
That was because of your ex owner with your club unable to pay it's debts including to St Johns ambulance which was a disgrace and the taxman was owed millions which was never paid had it been a smaller club they would have have gone tits up.
Yes our owner, who should have paid his debts, he still has 500 million in the bank, football needs to make owners more responsible, if they have it they should pay, or face charges.
Yes but to be fair he had the smallest budget in the champ, time will tell, hope it's you or Bolton go up, as your proper football towns, so good luck to you, always enjoy our away trips to Barnsley, even though we usually lose lol
Nope it’s not defeatist. You in the Championship sounds exactly like me in the Premier League. I’ve been watching Sunderland consistently since 2005 and the time in League One & the Championship have been far more enjoyable than the odd win here and there in the top flight.
...and yet you were still allowed to have a massive salary budget despite not pledging to pay back a cent back of the 45 million you squeezed out of your creditors (many of whom were business in your local community) and to my knowledge still have no intention of doing so despite the extra monies you will get for promotion. Whilst the salary issue is the EFL's fault (they should have punished you properly...although that never happens to big clubs) being one of the few clubs to not address the post admin residual debt is down to the ethics of the current board. Whilst I know you think your promotion is the ultimate fairytale ...it really is a more a nightmare for those you refuse to pay back. I didn't even know Peterborough had a Rugby Club, but see on Google they have
Birdy, I’ve got no idea who you’re talking to but imagine it’s someone who is on my ignore list talking about debts etc. just put them on ignore so you don’t need to bite at all. Problem solved.
Secured ticket for 2nd play off leg a week tomorrow , just hope we're not 5-1 down from 1st leg Fair play to Posh , same prices as last year £20 & the away leg with Owls also £20 with both clubs getting around 2,350 away allocation however , Oxford are charging Posh £26 & different away allocations , they've given us 1,497 & we gave them the 10% bare minimum 1,350 , well done to our hierachy . Not sure what Bolton & Barnsley are doing with theirs , similar to ourselves & Wednesday last year they had same price / allocation so not sure why Oxford have jumped the gun & got greedy ?
It was a great day saturday, deffo good to be back in the championship. And yes Mel Morris should pay the debts off, as he has the cash to do so.
