Some fans are saying the night where we beat Arsenal 2-0 was the best night of their lives at a football match.
Ok, we won a game against a top 6 side. Not exactly like winning a trophy I suppose, but when you've been ran like a lower league side for donkeys years and don't get nights like this, the occasion stood up and was brilliant. The Wor Flags show were just magnificent and the stadium looked stunning. Atmosphere was fabulous. Sky must have loved what the cameras showed their worldwide audience.

It was the best Toon performance I can remember for years and is hopefully something we'll see more of now that there are people running the football side who know what they're doing.

    Onwards and upwards.

Arsenal will be playing in Europe next season, so they can't be that bad. Aren't they improved from last season?

I think you're focusing too much on the wrong half of the post.

In my view both halves of your post were wrong.

We a championship side battered Arsenal earlier in the season and it probably wouldn't even be in my top 10 Forest moments . I don't think I've ever come across someone as delusional as you my friend

Yeah, I see you did beat an Arsenal side 1-0 in a cup game. For a Championship side that's clearly great work. Respect you got a result, but with 33% possession and 3 shots on target, you say you battered them? And I'm delusional? Maybe, but I'm in good company then!

Look, don't get me wrong - we're miles away from being a decent side, and we caught Arsenal on one of their really poorer games. They needed a result much more than we did, but our team weren't on holiday and wanted a good last game of the season at St James Park for the fans.

Not a world beating performance but to us it's progress.

Our form since Christmas is better than Chelsea Arsenal and Man U. Ok, not any evidence of brilliance - far from it - but compared to being 19th in the Premiership in November, it's progress.

You really do spout utter dog turds, chum
Brainwashed by London media who are still wailing it wasnt a London team or Man U who were taken over by Saudis who have done everything correctly and stuck by limitations - to stop Newcastle actually strengthening (NINE players were in Newcastle line up and bench prior to Carabao Final were there BEFORE Saudis arrived) I can understand people like you wanting the press to do your thinking for you. Same petulant sulking "I want what they've got" sulking mentality - so no surprise. Independent's main writer a bulging eyed Man U fan was boasting about how strong Man U would be taken over by Saudis - the following week he was shrieking how evil the Saudis were and a disgrace allowed to take over Newcastle...ditto with almost every football reporter and most because they hadn't taken over THEIR club. (Like YOU)
As for Arsenal game (who were pretty much full strength not the juniors sent out against a lower league bunch as with yours) enjoyable, but best night of my life ???? You kidding ?
Now we have people all supporters of certain clubs -= who had Bruno and Joelinton signing for Liverpool for definite season before last - now posting on net sites how every member of Newcastle's side (Isak, Bruno, Hall and Livramento esp) are going to sign for Liverpool Arsenal or Man U even Spurs were mentioned FGS. Oh, and Tonali is going back to Italy to clubs who had to sell him to START with and now he's going back for same price ???? are they THIS stupid ?
    Anyone, ANYONE to unsettle Newcastle
