Thank god that Bundesliga resumes today after this disastrous international break I need something to enjoy. Not in the 1.Bundesliga though, as Friday's match is: #17 Köln vs #2 Bayern Köln not last in the Bundesliga thanks to just one goal better in the GD. 6 pts in 11 matches, 1W-1D-3L in 5 home matches so far. So the normal outcome of this match is another loss. The only interesting question maybe: Will Harry Kane score 1, 2 or 3 goals this evening 2. Bundesliga: Here we also have the match #2 vs #17 but as a home match for the better placed: #2 HSV vs #17 Eintracht Braunschweig As much as I like Eintracht and always have a soft spot tor the Lions because I lived there for a few years while at Uni but any other outcome as a HSV win is today unacceptable. Because our away form is still bad (only 6 pts in 7 matches 1W-3D-3L) we must win at home. So far we did this with a perfect 6 wins in 6 matches. We must make it 7 out of 7 if we don't want to lose contact to St.Pauli. I hate this early Friday kickoff. 6:30 pm CET on a working day. Always hectic to be in the Volkspark right in time. Next weekend it's the same Friday 6:30pm kickoff but this time an "away" match at the Millerntor for the Hamburg Derby. The other 2.Bundesliga match on Friday: #4 Hannover 96 vs #12 Hertha BSC
1 and that was enough. HSV vs Braunschweig 2-1 2nd half to forget and with such a performance in the 2nd we won't get anything next Friday at the Millerntor. Anyway, a win is a win is a.... btw: 7th home win in a row that's equalizing the ancient record from 1986/87, the better times. H96 vs Hertha BSC 2-2 Hertha was 2-0 ahead but 96 could get a draw.
It would be hilarious if Bayern didn't win the league and Spurs won the Premier, absolutely hilarious..
We're not winning the league. It'd be ridiculous if Kane ends the season without a trophy though. Think it's Bayern's best ever start tbf to them. Leverkusen have just been really consistent so far.
It would.be just Kane's luck for him to turn up at Bayern in the one season where there's an opponent that does even better than them . Whatever happens though, it's not like he's been a flop. He's scoring a ridiculous number of goals and won them so many games. He's a huge success and any failure to win a trophy won't be because of him signing. And you're right about Spurs. If there's one thing that's a certainty every season apart from Stoke finishing in the bottom half of the Championship, it's Spurs finishing the season trophyless
Some light at the end of the dark tunnel for German Football. At least our youngsters still can reach finals. Just a few moments ago our U17 won the semi-final against Argentina at the U17 World Cup in Indonesia. After regular time it was 3-3 (the Argies could draw the match in stoppage time, in the 90+7th minute). They didn't play 30 mins extra time like the adults so it went straight to penalty shootout. Here our goalie Konstantin Heide (from Unterhaching) could save 2 penalties, so we won the penalty shootout with 4-2. Opponent in the final is either France or Mali. Match will be played at 1pm CET btw: Even a youngster from HSV was in the lineup
Tomorrow it's again the Hamburg Derby, for the 11th time in the 2.Bundesliga Our record in the 2nd against Pauli is negative: 3W-2D-5L 14-17 Goals (our record in every other competition or league, 1.Bundesliga, Oberliga Nord is positive, though, against the Brownies) #1 St.Pauli 8W-6D-0L, 30pts, 27-11 Goals #2 HSV 8W-3D-3L, 27pts, 28-18 Goals (21 of our 27 pts at home, though. Only 6 pts away. Although this away match is only approx. 7km direct line Millerntor-Volkspark, it's nonetheless an away match. Normally the only away match that I attend nowadays but this time I couldn't get a ticket, Millerntor is of course sold out long before and my St.Pauli mates couldn't get me one this time. So I have to stick to watch it on tv this time. Maybe it's for the best, these matches at the Millerntor are not good for my heart A draw would be good, a win better and a loss would give me again a lot of banter next week. I can do without that!
I wrote it in my previous post: My blood pressure after this blooper was in dangerous heights . Share of the blame to Ramos who played the ball to our goalie. On this shit pitch you can't do that. You can see that the ball jumped right before our goalie. Of course a ridiculous own goal but maybe they learn a bit from it . I often have criticized this "tiki taka" shit in our own penalty area and this time we got the bill for it. Very unlucky for our goalie who is normally one of the best in the 2.Bundesliga (on the line). (technically it was an irregular goal because when the goal kick was made 2 St.Pauli players were in the penalty are (or stand directly on the penalty line which belongs to the penalty area) and this is normally not allowed (only at the Millerntor when HSV is guest, it seems ) One of the worst 1st half I've seen so far this season from HSV. It was all St.Pauli in the 1st half. 2nd half was a bit better and the 2 goals for the 2-2 gave us a very lucky draw. btw: What is this for a language in the clip? Polish?
