what an idiotic statement . messi was not even 75 percent fit when he played against untd he just came back from injury . also how the hell does that mean that the premiership has a better defence then the spanish league . have you actually read what you said.. what about ronaldo against barca did he score ? did he play well ?.......... no messi outshone him . also with your logic we can say that the Spanish league has got a better defense because ronaldo did not score against barca.

Barca played better than us in that match ...Messi may have played better than Ronaldo but Evra had no problem in taking care of him. TBH Deco was maybe the only player who impressed me that night from Barca

and the Premiership has better defenders than La-Liga ..

    Barca are doing phenomenally well

    United are 3 points clear
In the finals of the mickey mouse cup
and comfortable in the other 2 cup competitions

Spanish League, Champions League, Olympic Games...

    Or penalties... or free kicks.

    It's not all about goals

I take you don't watch Barça often...

Don't worry, you won't see him as last season in United, as this summer he's gonna fly...

Oh yes, but talking about injuries... don't forget Leo was injured until march/april last season... but he leaded his NT to win the OG... where has Ronaldo leaded Portugal?

Neither Ronaldo of breaking our "weak" defence... moreover Leo played his first minutes after the injury v United, in a team in civil war... yet he managed to shadow God Ronaldo in that tie being just at 60% :whistle

No more laughable than saying that Ronaldo winning the title of World Footballer of the Year for LAST YEAR makes him a better player than Messi NOW.

My point is that Messi hasn't won it and Ronaldo has done but Messi is the better player.

Nor has he scored 42 goals yet. A few months of good form doesn't make you the world's best it takes a bit longer than that.

Try quoting the other member who said that comment too...He's supporting the same player as you in this argument so ignore what he said;)

To icarrasco, no I don't watch Barce that much, I was countering fringey's comments to about Messi. Turns out his case is completely flawed altogether then seeing as he said Messi carries Barce.

Fair enough, it appeared that you were saying that Ronaldo has won it and thus is a better player than Messi.

You said that Ronaldo can't do what Messi has done and that is to carry a team. Messi has never really carried Barca. Ronaldo carried us to two trophies last year. Your second point was disproved.

He was being sarcastic. It was Fringey who said that Messi carried Barca.

well last year ronaldo carried man u..... obviously not this year....................

    Ronaldo Clubs Honours -

    Premier League: 2006–07, 2007–08

Where has Ronaldo leaded Portugal? Ronaldo was named in Euro 2004 Team of the Tournament, he was also the second-highest goal scorer in FIFA World Cup 06 qualification in the European zone with seven goals and lead Portugal to the semi-finals of the WC 06 & eventually finished 4th, their best performance in World Cup history along with 1966.

And of course, not forgetting his indivdual accolades he amassed at the age of 23...
