Shamrock 1-0 up thanks to 16 year old Michael Noonan.

They've held on to win that as well. Good opportunity to progress with the 2nd leg being at home. Knocking out Molde would be a bit of a shock.

Re: Michael Noonan, not only did he score the goal, it was a foul on him that led to the red card... and to cap it off, this was his debut. Not a bad night for him!

Would be amazing if Shamrock hold on in the second leg.

The Bundesliga side (Heidenheim) are out. Still think Chelsea comfortably win this. Fiorentina and Real Betis the main threat to that, the latter lost tonight.

Shamrock Rovers behind to Molde at the moment and level on aggregate. Goalkeeper's mistake unfortunately, it has been a fairly eventful opening 20 minutes.

I think Copenhagen will give Chelsea a better game than Heidenheim. It’s all felt a bit too much, too soon for them and they at the bottom of the Bundesliga.

Betis would be an interesting one though. I don’t think it will be a cakewalk for Chelsea.

Braindead decision making from the Molde defender. On a booking and he just clings to the Shamrock Rovers player whilst on the floor.

Right at the end of normal time too so now they've got to play another 30 with a man less.

    Shame for Shamrock.

Molde will play Cercle Brugge or Legia Warsaw.

Still a good campaign for Shamrock but I think they'll be a bit disappointed to go out tonight. Really didn't make the best of having the extra man for 30 minutes, Molde were pretty comfortable in that last 15.

So dissapointing for Shamrock rovers but still did well, great for Irish football that seems to be getting more attention and more investment.

Chelsea were always likely to progress against whoever anyway but it's Copenhagen next.

Real Betis and Fiorentina on the other side of the draw so probably the "glamour" final UEFA want.

Depends on your perspective and whether you'd rather be at home in the first or second leg but it seems our fixtures would influence Chelsea's.

Home leg last is a massive advantage.

You have the support, you have the extra time if needed at home and you have thr pen if needed at home.

Generally my feeling too but partially depends what you do in the first leg.

Both have advantages / disadvantages but I prefer having the second leg at home.

Now there's no away goal rule it really is a massive advantage.

Even just the travel aspect helps.

The fact that we spent two windows trying to sign KDH before he went to Chelsea makes me seriously question the entire algorithm

Edit: of course he'd score after I said that
