Dazn does have a channel number on Sky but obviously you still need the subscription. National League does not appeal to the casual, i even struggle to watch games on TV at times as the level doesnt translate on TV as well as it does in person.
Virgin Media have a channel too but largely focused on Women's Champions League football. And there is friction in the sign up process - you can't sign up via the set top box, you have switch to another device. So highly unlikely a casual viewer will come across the schedule, and decide to sign up to watch Braintree v Wealdstone at 12pm on a Sunday. National League games would be best discovered by subscribers of TV services, an added extra where there are already large audiences. BT Sport/TNT had a large number of subscribers but audience figures must have been underwhelming. I just don't see DAZN's 20 million oversees audience settling down to watch National League games and delivering any value for the league or DAZN themselves. There's no glamour at all.
It’s frankly bloody awful viewing, a last desperate resort for the committed fan. Broadcasting seems to exaggerate the players technical deficiencies and penchant for head -tennis. Hope there’s a highlight show, just about tolerable in snippets..
For those interested, we’ve just added this FAQ’s about the new streaming service to our official site: National League x DAZN – FAQs | Aldershot Town FC
I know everyone says this but I wouldn’t be paying for Sky or BT. Get a firestick and you’re laughing. Every channel under the sun £50 a year
To obtain one of these is it more of a guy you know or are they obtainable online Hypothetically speaking of course
First set of live games announced Cameras Roll! New DAZN Deal Kicks Off With Three Big Games - The Vanarama National League I’m surprised that only 3 have been announced for August. Unsurprisingly one of which is between two EFL giants fallen on hard times but both hoping to get back to their rightful position soon. Yes, Sutton v FGR on the 31st will be a televisual event you tinpotters won’t want to miss
Quite a few games listed on the national league tv website now too (not ours yet). Also looks like the blackout isn’t in place this weekend as you can buy domestic passes for the game (EFL have no blackout either this Saturday).
All games now listed on Nationalleaguetv.com & domestic passes showing so looks positive for any fans that can make the games (no doubt some of the usual problems on the day though).
September fixtures for DAZN all announced, all kick offs moved to 5.30. Shots v Rochdale (7th Sep) Dagenham v Gateshead (14th Sep) Wealdstone v Barnet (21st Sep) Ebbsfleet v Oldham (28th Sep)
3pm would have been fine, you just get some right wrong'uns come out for this one. There are a few QPR fans who also follow Wealdstone, and who knows how they'll be if they've been at the 12:30 KO vs. Millwall earlier that day.
They aint very good at picking these games are they. None of them are remotely interesting for the neutral. None are likely to be in and around each other in the table and latics ebbsfleet was a tnt game last year. Not too keen on this tv deal so far
Moving our match to a 17:30 kickoff and clashing with Ireland vs England, when it's international break and games can be televised at 15:00, is ludicriously stupid. Also feel for Rochdale fans who won't be able to get back on the train, two weeks notice is nowhere near enough
