has there been a software update for the tool that embeds tweets? having issues of late, probably due to the name change
Me too, started on Wednesday. I've noticed however that others are posting Twitter links that appear as normal, so I'm wondering whether Musk has been buggering about with Twitter (X) or it's an issue at my end. I've asked @TAFKAP to check in case it's something to do with FF but I don't think it is . . . If anyone else is finding their Twitter (X) posts aren't showing on FF please let us know here.
Twitter has always been a bit odd for me on this site - I've never had a problem sharing tweets myself but often find when others do it that it'll get stuck on "Loading tweet..." and nothing happens. To be fair I always thought this was collateral damage from my ad blocker and it's never bothered me enough to check or change anything.
I've tried changing a few settings in Firefox to no avail. There is a way to post the Tweets if you click the 3 dots in the top right and select 'Embed post', this gives you a link that works, so it seems the change has been made at the X end? ""
is there no update to the tool that does this for the site that will embed the links from X.com instead of Twiiter.com?
I was thinking there may have been an update since then after all these types of apps are updated often
I don't think Mr Musk gives a monkeys unfortunately, his piffling $56bn/year job at Tesla seems more important to him bizarrely.
Is it possible to add BlueSky embedding? Just tried to embed a tweet I saw on the Brighton forum (which uses the same software) but can’t seem to get it to embed on here? @StretfordEnd @TAFKAP
