Christ didn’t see that coming. Quite frankly results permitting I could have seen him retiring at Liverpool

Clear run here for getting Xabi Alonso in given Real are sticking with Ancelotti

Didn’t see that coming in, unless he was at the end of his contract. Hopefully we get the jump on Alonso before Bayern show any interest.

    Perfect!

Nagelsmann's contract is only until the end of the Euro 2024.

    Next job Bundestrainer! ;)

    Damn, that sucks.

Backroom team also all off. So total change. You have to assume the club is going to go all in for Xabi Alonso.

Think Xabi or Pep Ljinders are the options fine with either.

Over the last six months I've had a sneaky, shitty feeling it was going to happen in the next season or two unfortunately.

There is no replacing him, and I've no doubt we're going to go backwards. I'm absolutely f**king devastated.

I've become so complacent at having one of the best managers in world football, I've not even thought about who we're going to get in as a replacement. Now that question needs to be asked and I've no idea who it could be. There is no one out there who is fit to lace his boots and who is available.

You’d imagine the announcement was done early so that they can appt someone soon and begin the handover before the summer

Xabi Alonso seems the obvious shout but personally I think Gerrard would be a great appointment.
