Ozil has pretty much gone public now with his battle with Emery/Arsenal. This is a huge problem now. Arsenal are cutting their nose off to spite their face by trying to force Ozil out while Ozil is refusing to budge and (depending how cynical you are) trying to get the fans on his side. You do have to wonder if this is an Emery decision or an Arsenal decision with Emery leading the fight. I find it very hard to believe that a manager who is so analytical and thorough in his preparation can come to the decision each week that a team that's been so poor going forward all season doesn't need Mesut Ozil involved in our attacking play.
It's a Tweet which denotes a frightening lack of ambition from a player whom should be one greatest players in the world. You are right when you say he needs to be involved in our attacking play - but how often is he? Emery's perspective is that he has to sell in order to buy and Ozil simply doesn't justify the huge wage bill.
