I really didn't like the appointment of Shteeve in my opinion he is a piss poor manager who simply isn't up to this job or any top level job anywhere - he might have been 'decent' in the past but quite frankly nowadays he's turd and has become a joke. The whole structure of the club under CASHley is simply dire, there's no stability to the squad and it's leadership, they've lost the faith and heart of the fans and the squad just doesn't have any self belief. As a life long Newcastle supporter, I thought I was pretty much 'immune' now to the constant underachievement, the monotonous repetition of going nowhere very slowly without any real ambition, but this season is just soul destroying to watch. When McLaren was appointed I predicted we'd get relegated again and nearing the end of the year and the halfway point of the season we so far seem to be living down to that prediction. I can't see it getting any better. I'm expecting the transfer window to be a bitterly disappointing affair with little or no prospect of improvement and quite honestly I really don't think a new super manager could inspire our current squad to suddenly find their balls, man the feck up and do the job they're paid to do to the best of their ability. I'm disillusioned, disheartened and even more disappointed than usual Does anyone see a light at the end of the tunnel for the club in it's current state, or are we just watching an oncoming train barrel towards us knowing that when we go splat it's going to hurt
Players like Wijnaldum are truely wasted at Newcastle, I couldn't believe he'd gone their in the first place. If you keep playing Coloccini, you are going to lose. It's that simple, he is a turd with shaggy lambs wool.
Coloccini doesn't seem to be half the player he once was, it's like his heart's gone out of it, but then with the rubbish that's surrounding him it makes him look worse than he actually is. Such a sad situation and there simply is no plan for how to improve things
I just don't know what to think about Newcastle, on paper they have a decent side with the likes of Krul, Janmaat, Sissoko, Tiete, Cisse, Wijnaldum etc. But they just don't seem to do it at Newcastle. The thing is as well, once the sell they don't improve the team.. The players Newcastle have lost over the years has been unbelievable.. Cabaye, Debuchy, Santon, Mbiwa, and not replaced any of them with the quality that they were. They need a clear out and a manager that knows what to do in and out of the transfer market.
That yesterday was just papering over the cracks, McLaren is trying to impose a European style of football in the premier league and I failing. We play (well try ) with no creativity in forward play , it's all negative sideways and backwards, it's not looking good.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35748868 It would be something of a first if a club owner were to actually listen to the club's support, but who knows?
Newcastle, the club that keeps on giving. Another year, another "open letter" to the board with the Mugpie fans seemingly oblivious to the irony of it being partly their fault. Manager after manager after manager hounded out the minute they realise they're not going to get them to the heights of their hero King Kev. As the Forest fan said - Oh, and don't forget Bobby Robson who was sacked after the absolute rubbish season that saw them finish in the lowlands of 5th in the Prem. And the sight of John Hall wagging his finger at the camera today during his message to the current players on the N.E. news was f*cking gold dust. Wonder if the players were listening or just thining "Who the f*ck is this old bastard trying to tell us what to do? Oh, he was the NUFC chairman 25 years ago... ok we'll listen to him then". It's a sorry state of affairs when a fan of your bitter rivals is sitting absolutely cringing at that rather than sitting laughing. They really are the definition of Billy Smarts Circus. :
Okay so it's a putrid little rag but here are the current list of contenders http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-newcastle-manager-5-contenders-7500430 David Moyes - 32% of fans want him - Erm - No thanks Nigel Pearson - 18% of fans want him - Really - No thanks Brendan Rodgers - 24% of fans want him - Maybe, could we give him a personality ?? Harry Redknapp - 11% of fans want him - Are we having a Helipad installed so he can travel up from the South coast every day ? Frank de Boer - 15% of fans want him - I'm incredibly nervous about yet another Dutch manage with no Prem Managerial experience Things need to be shaken up hugely at St James Park
I really hope he goes but if he is, why are they wasting so much time? That kind of makes me think he's staying. I put £20 on him at 10/1 in January, I think he was up to 18's' at one point though.
I missed this little nugget until I heard it on the radio over the weekend, but apparently McLaren is on the board of directors. How does that work? http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20150610/club-statement-new-board-of-directors_2281670_4783052
Are Newcastle seen as a big club ? Yes they get amazing support but they have not won a top league title since the 1920's. Alan Shearer will make a good boss. He is brilliant on MOTD with his advice on what is wrong
