LONDON, Sept 12 (AFP) - Newcastle winger Nolberto Solano is expected to be included in Bobby Robson's squad for their League Cup clash with Brentford on Wednesday despite being questioned by police investigating passport irregularities. The 26-year-old Peruvian international has insisted all along that he is innocent of any wrongdoing and his club lent him their support as they prepared to host the second division leaders at St James's Park. A spokesman for Newcastle told the Press Association: "Nolberto Solano has co-operated fully with the investigation, giving a detailed explanation of his possession of the passport in question, as the police continue with their enquiries. "Mr Solano is confident that his explanation will be accepted and ultimately he will be found to have done nothing improper." Reports in England Wednesday said Solano was quizzed by police over possession of a Greek passport.
dont worry people - its all a load of fuss about nowt! Nobby was asked to go to present his documents to a police station in newcastle yesterday and as his documents are peruvian there is nowt wrong! yes he was asked about his greek passport he used for a few months but the "crime" is so insignicant that the police are unlickly to charge him! so in a nut shell nobby stays unless bobby says otherwise! if it had been serious news like what te media have made it out to be i wud have posted a news report on it!
