When asked what he had to say to supporters who feel they are destined for relegation, Lynne responded with the statement "Don't Bring Me Down" I'll get my coat.
Madness tomorrow night .. looking forward to it My son is at the O2 tonight watching Queen and Adam Lambert.. envious a little
Alt-j in September, Bootleg Beatles in November then Arctic Monkeys twice in January. It’s great that bands are starting to come to Australia again, the floodgates are literally flooded at the moment.
Foals & Wet Leg at Castlefield Bowl at the end of the month, and The Pixies in Zagreb end of August booked so far.
Pixies in Zagreb sounds very interesting. Is Frank Black still lining up? Love to have seen that bloke in his heyday, absolute madness..
Aye, rest of the band are In their 20s/ early 30s but my mate saw them in Boston last year and he said Frank is as good as ever. Best 'rock/ alternative' vocalist of all time for me, just pipping Bowie. Unique.
Big Arctic Monkeys fan so I'm jealous you'll see them over there, it'll be quality, and Alt-J are faultless live. Very, very underated
Yeah, looking forward to Alt-J, newish album is very good too. I saw the Monkeys down here just before Covid broke out, shocked to see that it was back in 2019 when they were promoting Tranquility. Where did that time go? Seeing them in Melbourne at the Sydney Myers Bowl, which is an amphitheatre in the centre of town and then two days later in Adelaide at a one day festival type thing, that should be a good craic..
Sounds quality, it's a trek for these bands so make the most of it ha. Not something I'd shell out for, but my mate is seeing Kiss at the old Roman Colleseum in Verona at the start of July. How is that even a sentence?
I’ve been to that Colosseum, a week after Pearl Jam played there, I’d love to have been at that gig, amazing place. It was pissing down with rain and late when we got there so there were no other tourists, me and my mate played out Gladiator in front of the hatch where the animals would have been let out . Our wives were not entertained..
Ha, you can't go somewhere like that and not be a lad. I was hanging when I flew back from Verona so I just saw the McDonalds. My girlfriend saw System of a Down at the Colleseum in Nimes years ago and she said it was unreal just because of the location. So a Roman amphitheatre gig is on the agenda.
Looking forward to seeing the Bootleg Beatles again, they are quality live. This time they’re doing songs from Sgt Peoper onwards and I’m hearing that they’re recreating the roof set up and playing the whole gig, that should be very excellent..
He said it was fabulous. For me, Brian May is the best guitarist and Roger Taylor is the best drummer around
Peter Hook and The Light end of July Was supposed to be before covid broke out as it was a 40 year anniversary tour of Joy Divisions second album Closer being released. Been rescheduled 3 times now
Not quite gigs but... Visions Festival in London, mainly to see Black Country, New Road Reading Festival, seeing the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Little Simz, Dave
I know he doesn’t get a lot of love on these forums but going to see Liam Gallagher at HBF Park at the end of July. I like a fair bit of his solo stuff and he always does some Oasis stuff. Quite weird actually as the last concert I went to was Liam Gallagher the week before Christmas in 2019 before everything turned to shit. Be different this time as he is playing a football stadium. In 2019 he played at Fremantle Arts Centre which was just like going to watch a gig in someone’s back garden. Was a bloody good gig as it was so cosy and small Still debating whether go see The Killers in December. I am not a huge fan and only really know their well known stuff but just thinking be good to go and see something different and a reasonably popular band Waiting to see if Iron Maiden, Metallica and Green Day reschedule their postponed gigs at some point. Foo Fighters as well but whether that ever happens is another question.
